These are amazing for the cost. The little holders it gives you have a nice little click when you open them, and there's a TON of lead in each of these things.They write as well as you'd expect lead to, each lead lasts, again, about as long as normal pencil lead would, and all in all it feels like a good value from a brand other people seem to consider pretty reputable, which I'd back them up on.

Being clear, the heavy plastic container tells you at a glance what's left.3. 4B, 0.7mm leds are a shade darker than a #2 pencil, and can easily be made darker still by just pressing a little harder because the lead is softer, as well.4. Being soft means they are easier to erase.In summation, these are as close as I have found to the prefect lead for my mechanical pencils, which I use instead of ballpoints for nearly everything except signs or letters.Why?1. The June Gold HB .3mm lead refills fit and work very well in my Pentel 500 mechanical pencil, just the right hardness for writing in my journal. The cap on the dispenser opens and inside the lid is a small hole that the lead passes through so there’s no fumbling around trying to get them out or braking the lead while trying to fill the pencil.

Perfect softness for doing word search puzzles. Leaves a dark line without tearing the the pages in the word search book. Erases easily when you make a mistake.

Great pencil leads and they have good, dark imprint without graphite dust. I was happy to see that even though the marks on the paper were dark, they didn't smudge which is great, because I am left handed. I shared with my son and I will totally buy these again.
