Since this was never answered in any of the questions. Yes it does work with the Yanmar 4TNV engine. I wasn't sure, I took a chance and it worked! Just make sure you have a plastic ring to put on the bottom of the adapter to make it seal.

Never did get a rubber gasket for the bottom

This does not fit Volvo Penta MD2000 series engines (mine is MD2002). The shaft diameter is 16mm - needs to be 17mm. The tool is also about 8mm too long, and the tip is 6mm and needs to be 7mm.I had a machine shop modify it on a lathe. I'll have to wrap tape around it to get it to 17mm, and use an o ring or soft washer at the tip to ensure a good seal.I'm sure the tool would work well for the engines it's designed for.
