Fabulous. The Whey protein I've been searching for FOR YEARS!
While I don't eat any particular diet plan, I have lost 40 pounds over the years working in organic raw foods, lots of vegetarian meals, low carb phases to kick the sweet tooth, etc. I never stick to any one thing, though, but I do count calories. I've tried so many, assorted protein powders--Designer Whey, Melaleuca's brand, BSN, ProtiDiet, WonderSlim, EAS, Myoplex, MetRx, and a bunch over the years that I've totally fogotten-- and some are cloying, some bitter, some weird tasting, some tasty but hard to mix, etc. Since I like doing a protein-antioxidant blend of products for my pre-workout breakfast to keep reflux at bay when I'm upside down or curling up in Pilates (ie, putting pressure on the intestines, abdomen), a liquid breakfast works best for me. AND...for when I am hungry between meals, I like protein shakes/mixes, too. However, so many of them are loaded with weird stuff or have a ton of calories. This one by Solgar I decided to try after reading the recent Consumer Reports article on contaminated protein powders. I also was happy that its NOT SOY BASED. (I am not euthyroid, so I'd rather eat my soy than drink it, as I like tofu, and I need to watch my soy intake.)It has a very light texture and taste--very light nice vanilla, not cloying, not "trying to be like a sweet milkshake" taste. Mixes up perfectly in a shaker cup (no sticking-to-bottom bits or clumped floaters). Goes down easy and fast. No aftertaste. This is a perfect high-protein base for me to add my own additives (fruit, yogurt, raw organic cacao powder, whatever I want.)And how nice that I'm not getting dosed with cadmium, lead or arsenic, like with some of the other brands I've tried that the report highlighted as dangerous. (If you're drinking Muscle Milk, BSN, Jillian Michaels, etc, you need to check into this.)I will definitely repurchase. I also bought the chocolate, which I plan to have tomorrow. Wish they had a strawberry one, but I'm willing to check out the berry blend, and, really, it's easy enough to toss in a blender with some frozen strawberries. :DFor folks doing low-carb shake-based plans, like WonderSlim or MediFast, I think you could save some bucks using Whey to Go for your shakes. The protein/carb/fat is workable for those plans.Be well, enjoy....

Delicious, hormone-free and gluten-free. Perfect!
I am amazed at how easily this mixes. The first few times I used it, I mixed it in a Magic Bullet with 8oz whole milk and half of a frozen banana. I drank it right away and you could barely taste the powder. I thought the banana would be necessary to help conceal the texture of the whey protein, which is what I've done with other protein powders in the past. For this one, I still ad a few frozen banana slices, but it's okay without them. Just a personal taste preference. Now, I just use one of those blender bottles with the wire whisk ball (sans banana). It blends so smoothly. If I think ahead, I mix it the night before so that I can just grab it on my way out the door in the morning (to drink after I workout). It doesn't taste exactly like chocolate milk, but the taste is still pretty good. It's definitely the best-tasting chocolate flavor I've found in any protein powder. It's great that it isn't an artificial flavor, it really is made of dutch cocoa powder. Also, no weird hormones or chemical additives. And it's gluten-free.Apparently, Whey to Go protein powders used to be soy-free, but this one does contain soy. Just a heads-up for anyone who has to avoid soy.I plan to try the natural vanilla flavor next. I went with the natural chocolate for my first try of this brand because it was a better buy in the 41oz size.

Actually tastes good!
This is my go to protein and it actually tastes really good. Not too sweet so adding a little Nesquik can make it taste like a milkshake.

The Best!
I've been using this for something like 15+ years. It blends better than any other protein powder Ive tried and I appreciate that it is unsweetened. I've recently tried some vegan pea protein powders, etc, but they just can't compared with the flavor and mouth-feel of this product. Have been ordering it on Amazon since my local Whole Foods store in Monterey, CA stopped carrying it (likely to promote their own brand?). I've since moved to a rural area and this is the only way to ensure I can get it.I began using Solgar's Vanilla flavor in smoothies but found I *really don't like the taste*, which, while they call it a "natural flavor" is doubtless produced by GMO yeasts. If you want to learn more about that truly important issue, search for "Vanilla Queen" and learn from her site how these so-called "natural" vanilla flavors actually threaten the sustainability of *real vanilla* production. Vanilla is actually my favorite flavor but Solgar's is unfortunately really fake-tasting. Too bad.So I switched over to the cocoa flavor and my typical breakfast is what I call a "hot chocolate smoothie":16 oz unsweetened almond milk (I use vanilla flavored), warmed1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder (don't use Dutch process if you want the flavonoids)heaping 1/4 teaspoon good quality Stevia powder (sometimes I add a couple droppersful of liquid)1 tablespoon flax seed oil1 measure Solgar Whey To Go chocolate flavored protein powderI usually whisk ingredients as I add them, then since this is a warm drink, I use an immersion blender to bend it.Yum – satisfying, sugar-free, high protein breakfast!
