Later, chafe. Hello, comfortโข. The Jockeyยฎ Skimmiesยฎ Wicking Slipshorts help you conquer the day, whether you're hitting the gym or ruling the boardroom. Mesh panels and quick-drying microfiber help keep you cool, while wider waist and leg bands offer a stay-put fit. The Seamfreeยฎ design is perfect under activewear and form-fitting clothes for smoothing coverage and lasting comfort. Review: No more thigh rub! - I've always avoided wearing skirts or dresses because of the dreaded thigh rub. I've tried Bandelettes, which are basically lacy bands that go around your thighs, but I found that those weren't as comfortable as I might have liked. So I was eager to try these Skimmies, which are basically like shorts, but made of a thinner slip-like material. And these were exactly what I was looking for. For someone more accustomed to wearing pants than skirts, the style felt super comfortable; the wide waistband is reminiscent of yoga pants and fits just right, smoothing without creating lines; the whole thing minimizes lines everywhere, though you still have to be a bit careful about wearing just any old underwear underneath; and the legs are long enough that they don't ride up. I tried the shorter version of these as well, but didn't like those as much, since the legs didn't seem to stay in place as well. Still, the longer length seems fine for pretty much any dresses that I want to wear, and I have pretty short legs. The one thing you need to be aware of is that this isn't really shapewear. It might help smooth out your stomach a little bit, but it won't really flatten it at all. On the one hand, this means that it's really comfortable; on the other hand, it means that it may not meet all of your needs. Personally, I liked these enough that I actually wore them on my wedding day, prioritizing comfort a bit over flattening. The important thing is that I was able to walk around in a dress for hours in the hot sun with absolutely no thigh trouble at all. I can't really express how happy I am to be rid of thigh rub, and with an article of clothing that's no trouble at all to wear. It feels comfortable and natural. I'm sure I'll be purchasing more of these in the future. Review: Perfect for wear under a hiking skirt - I bought one of these, then bought the multipack later on, I liked the first set so well. They are very comfortable. Not too tight, and they (mostly) stay in place. I bought them to wear under a hiking skirt, and they are perfect for that. Not too hot to wear on a hot day. They don't feel wet even when you perspire. They keeps your legs from chaffing. And if you are modest, and happen to stumble and fall, they are not too awful to be seen by a stranger who witnesses the unfortunate event. The legs do creep up slightly when you hike uphill, but they were not uncomfortable when that happened. I mention the creeping only in the interest of full disclosure. They wash well and easily line dry overnight. I'm going to take them on a long backpack trip, later this summer.

Excellent slip alternative
I love the look and ease of dresses, but in the warmer months I hate the sticky, sweaty feeling of bare legs under a dress. These are the perfect solution with the added benefit of coverage you'd get from a regular slip. This variety I like better than the original Skimmies because the fabric has more of a slick texture that skirts can glide over (the originals are more microfiber feeling and I've had skirts cling to it). They are very comfy and you can stretch or not stretch the legs to adjust the length depending on how long your skirt is. I do find the waist bunches up from sitting but not so badly that it creates a bad look under clothes. I can smooth it back easily. I'd definitely recommend trying a pair if you want to avoid sticky legs in the summer! As far as sizing, I wear an 8-10 in pants/dresses and the L size fits comfortably - not too tight or too loose.

Game changer
I'm a physically fit, 102 pound, size 2. So you might not think I need these. But at the age of 50+ there are a few lumps and bumps I'd rather not share with the world. These are a game-changer! I can wear pencil skirts and clingy knit dresses with confidence, knowing my backside looks pretty darn good, with no VPL (Visible Panty Line)! They are soft, breathable, all-day comfort. They smooth out the lumps and bumps, but don't squish the backside I've earned with all those squats! The waistband smooths out my tummy, doesn't roll down, and doesn't cut into or squeeze up the squishy bits. Likewise, the legs stay in place and don't cut into the thighs - no VTL (Visible Thigh Line). They are slippery enough that clothes don't cling or get "caught" on them. The only (slight) downside is that the lighter color is somewhat transparent. But these are far superior in performance and comfort than any other similar product I have tried.

Great under skirts to avoid that dreaded rub!
This has got to be the most useful item I hsve ever bought! That's high praise from me. Ive worn this to smooth under a tight fitting skirt and it did the job while letting me breathe. I also wore it under a bridesmaid's dress in an outdoor wedding in 90 + degree weather and it saved my legs. Never rolled down or up and was extremely comfortable for kicking it on the dance floor for 5 hours ( I repreat 90 degrees and flippin outdoors with no shade)!!! By the time everything was over I was drenched and melted but these spanx or whatever you call them stayed in place and kept my legs chafe free. Im also plus sized usually wearing a size 18 and the 2x was perfect in these. I would rate higher than 5 stars if I could!! To note, there is no easy bathroom access for these but I had very little trouble pulling these up and down.

Buttery soft and sooo comfortable!
I bought these at the recommendation of several girlfriends that own Skimmies to avoid thigh chafe in the summer months. I wasn't sure what to expect to be honest, but I am so pleased with my purchase and can't wait to buy another pair! When I received them, they looked a little bit small so I sort of thought I'd experience some kind of compression effect. One of my friends assured me ahead of time that Skimmies are NOT Spanx, and therefore not to expect that sucked in look/feel. Nevertheless, because they looked small straight out of the package, I found myself sucking in when trying them on. I was so pleased to discover that these definitely DO NOT have any sort of compression feel. They are soft and stretchy, and really quite comfortable under skirts and dresses. Again, if you want to hide lumps and bumps in the belly area, Skimmies will not solve that for you. But if you are looking for modesty shorts to wear under a summer dress to avoid thigh chafe, these are pure perfection. They are buttery soft against the skin and won't cut off circulation in your thighs. Love them! The only downfall is that I found them a bit expensive for daily underwear, and because of this, they aren't a product I can wear everyday simply due to cost (even though I would if I could!)

Mixed feelings
I ordered 2 pair of these for a vacation that was in both hot weather and required skirts. I am not a thin girl but I am not obese either. I bought these 2 help with thigh rubbing which I imagine is probably the number one reason most women by these type of underwear shorts. I had such high hopes for these to replace my old school " bike shorts" I've had for years. These were lightweight and comfortable at first. They fit well. However, the legs rode up which made them more uncomfortable than actual thigh rubbing. I seem to remember one pair rolling up really bad and the other one just sort of coming up but I still constantly felt the need to pull both legs in both pairs down. They also came pretty high in the front. not below the belly button as shown in the picture. this seemed to make me a little bit hot in the stomach area.

Great little shorts
A lot of the reviews say size up...Im a very curvy, hippy, round bum, thick thighs kind of gal (5'4 170lbs wear a L/12) and I got these in XL to start based off of other reviews. The legs slid up because they were too big. Uncomfortable (I now have two pairs of too big shorts that cost me $40 :P). So I purchased my size, large. Perfect! I wore a black pair under a athletic skirt from Lole when we went on a recent island excursion...we ended up on the beach climbing over trees and the like, which mean I was in and out of the water. These little shorts worked so well, they dried quickly, kept me modest and comfortable. I highly recommend them and they are now my favorite pair of seamless undies that I wear under everything from maxi skirts to dresses (esp ones that are above the knee and I want to have a little modesty factor in place). You wont regret this purchase.

Very glad I bought these!
I would recommend these to anyone wearing a dress, especially during the summer. They were very comfortable and worked as expected.

Incredibly comfy - gamechanger under long skirts & dresses
I wish Iโd discovered these sooner! They prevent sticky thighs in summer & add warmth in winter. I got married in winter and wore them under my dress. Supremely comfortable and fit like a dream.
