The husband loves me now!!
I wanted to get this watch for a long time for my wonderful husband, I saved and saved for a really long time, but let me say.... It is worth every penny! It looks amazing on him, he gets tons of compliments, and he feels great sporting it! In fact it made him so happy he ended up buying me a new car! (no joke) so getting him this wonderful watch was a great move on my part! Who knew he'd love it so much he'd want to get me something! Lol.... Heck- ill be getting him another as soon as I can save enough. The size is perfect, any bigger would be almost "tacky" this size is perfect, the look is sleek and sexy, we own a auto repair facility so I was a bit worried he would "wreck" it, but I feel it's made so well that he can wear it anyware! If your looking for a watch that can be worn with a suit or to play golf... This is the watch! I also got him a diplomat brand watch winder box, it also is a cool gift as its neat to see the watches spinning and it keeps them clean, and it fits into a safe with no problem. I also find the white/silver face to be a classy look as opposed to the black one didn't seem as versatile, but with TAG you can always send it in and have the face and band colors changed for a whole new look.

What disappointment
Bought this watch from Amazon in June 2012, had it less than a month after coming back from Thailand (hot & humid place) I've noticed condensation formed underneath the crystal, contacted Amazon and received a new one as it was still under 30 day purchase policy. In August received a new one, but geeez, what are the odds of having the same problem on two different watches, 5 months later noticed condensation again underneath the crystal. I've never took the watch in shower, or pool or even in the kitchen, it's not my everyday watch, it's been kept away from water all the time. After reading forums I kind of took it for granted since after few days the condensation/haze went away, and noticed some people shares the similar problem about condensation/haze forming underneath the crystal.Recently took a trip to Aruba, 3 days into the trip, I've starting to notice the condensation/haze to form again and this time it's really bad, day after day more and more condensation/haze are building up, it becomes like vapor formed underneath the entire crystal, it's so foggy that its pretty difficult to tell the time. Again never took in to the pool, nor got in contact with salt water, I guess it's something about the humid and hot environment.Bottom line, very disappointed to experience such problem on a so called "luxury watch". Never expected 2 same watch having the same problem, and Amazon is not taking any responsibility other than referring to their 2 year warranty.

Good looking watch but bad steel straps...
I bought this watch less than 3 weeks back. The watch is very good looking. I got the watch at 3k and shipped overnight by Amazon. The shipping process and the way Amazon handled it was good. I wasn't aware that the watch needed a Winder to keep it running during the night. Besides that, after using it for 3 weeks, the watch had several scratches on the bottom of the strap. I couldn't believe Tag didn't use better quality and scratch proof steel to make such an expensive watch. Buyers beaware...

Beautiful timepiece and easily worth the top dollar price!
I ended up buying this from a out of state AD (almost same price as Amazon with AD discount and no taxes and free overnight shipping). Since the movement is Tag's modified version of v7750, I didn't feel comfortable in Amazon watch warranty (same reason why u should NEVER buy a Rolex from Amazon as Rolex's movement is all in-house and some repair folks won't even touch a Rolex for repair). My mini impression:Case (43.5mm)- This is true yet totally deceiving. Due to the long flared lugs and a good 17mm case thickness, the Carrera looks and wears like a 45mm watch in every way. I would not even consider this model for smaller wrists at all (unless you like bigger watches). Due to the thin bezel, the dial opening is big and the domed sapphire only adds to the large appearance of the watch .Bracelet (22mm):-Very fine machined brushed bracelet with mixed polished/brushed links. The polished links in the center are actually separate pieces so indirectly, it's a 5 link bracelet. Machined and stamped dual opening clasp. Very nice and right up there with Omega bracelets (I don't own Omega but handled it many many times at my local ADs)Sapphire Crystal:- AR coating on both sides (some argue this but personally, I love it). Even at angles, the dial stands out with the whole "crystal-less" look.Movement (Caliber 16):- Tag uses the well known v7750 and applies their own touch (decorated and movement parts are more polished than stock and apparently, Tag fine-tunes the Caliber movements for accuracy as well).Dial:This is the simple reason why I got attracted to the Carrera when I first saw it in a TV commercial. The overall dial is not really silver but a shade of silverish white. The primary 12/6 o'clock dials are 'sunk in' while the 9 o'clock dial recessed. The chrono hands also have a touch of red accents on the hands to make them stand out. What's not so obvious is the numbers and even the minute markers, logo are ALL applied and highly polished to give off that luxury look. Very nicely done. The polishing on these really come alive under different lighting angles.Another fine touch...the day/date window is cut out very cleanly and has a 3D look to it with angled borders. This is something that few watches/brands do.Wearability:- I've been wearing the watch all morning and it's a little top heavy but nothing too uncomfortable. It's a nice feeling to have knowing what a $3k watch should feel like :-).This is my 3rd watch with v7750 movement and I've nothing but good experience with it. As with typical v7750 watches, the Carrera has been running 5 secs fast a day, which makes it very good.I knocked off 1 point for not having a screw-down crown since the watch is rated for 100M WR. Some may disagree with this but I personally feel that if a watch is too be given a 100M WR, then it SHOULD have a screw down crown. The Carrera probably has internal seals/gaskets that protect it from leaks but Tag shouldn't give a watch a 100M WR based solely on this. But I have my professional Citizen diver (Ecozilla) for all things water/ocean so I'll never take the Tag to the beach.I ended up putting mine on a after market leather strap (see incl pic). Some may see the Carreras being overpriced but at this quality/finishing/prestige, Tag has every right to charge a premium price for it. Of course, this is blasphemy for Omega owners ;-).

I looked all over to get this watch at a decent price but to no avail ...I then came across Amazon who sold it a brilliant price ..however I had to pay import duties from America but still got a cracking deal ...everything went very smoothly and i had the watch within a week of ordering it and was able to track it from beginning to delivery and was more than satisfied with the watch and the services of Amazon ....highly reccommended...and the watch is just superb ...Tag Heuer make classic watches which dont age and look simply stunning on your wrist .....five stars *****
