Great 75Hz 2560x1440 monitor!
I upgraded from a 1920x1200 24" Samsung TN monitor (9 years old) to this 2560x1440 27" PLS monitor. I finally can run 2 browsers side-by-side and which makes work much more efficient. Professionally, I have a 2 screen setup, but for my home computer I just wanted one screen and this does the job. I sit about 30" from the screen and I feel like this is the biggest size flat screen that works; anything larger and I would probably look for a curved screen.I've used it for normal browsing activities, working on spreadsheets and gaming, and it does not disappoint. Clear, bright and crisp with a very high pixel density. I have it connected over HDMI, but had to start out with DisplayPort. The monitor has a control "stick" at the back side of the lower right corner, which lets you select the input signal. After changing it to auto and connecting HDMI it now runs on it fine.Another topic; I read a review about this monitor not being able to run on 75Hz. Well, that is what I experienced too in the beginning, only 60Hz. But in fact, it will run at 75Hz, see attached picture. Go to your graphics card control panel and select 2560x1440, and look for the refresh rate pull down. For me, it only showed 60Hz max. After some investigation it appeared that the higher refresh rate can be hidden by Windows. Open Windows Settings > System > Display & click "Advanced display settings". There should be a link "Display properties" which then pops up and click tab "Monitor". Uncheck "Hide modes that this monitor cannot display". Look in the "Screen refresh rate" pull down and now select 75Hz. After it is set at this rate, go back to your graphics card control panel and find 2560x1440 (native), and select 75Hz from the pull down. If it is not there, customize your resolution and enter 75Hz. If it fails, your screen will automatically revert back to your old settings.Looking at the screen with complete black background, there is some IPS Glow, but not much at all and typical of what to expect from IPS / PLS monitors. Watching some movies and playing games it is not noticeable at all. It has virtually no bezel so a dual or triple setup would work great.I'm very happy with this screen, no dead pixels, lines or color shading, and color setting is good right out of the box. I reduced brightness levels from the default level 35 to 30, as it was a little too bright for my room. If you're in the market for a new all-round flat screen in the 24" to 28" range, don't go with anything less than 2560x1440. This screen just does a wonderful job. The next step up I think would be a 34" curved wide screen with a resolution of 3440x1440, rather than a larger screen than this 27" Samsung screen with the same resolution.

Love them. Buying more.
Excellent monitor at an excellent price.I have two of these 2K monitors and plan on buying more. The difference between 1080p and 1440p is phenomenal. And these Samsung monitors really prove it.The monitor arrived quickly, well packaged and functional. The monitors have small cosmetic damages that you'd expect to find on a used monitor (dings and scratches), but nothing that detracts from the functionality. Over-all well worth the discounted price.

Dead Monitors
I purchase and used two of these monitors for my business PC, and since I'm a programmer, both are required. I used the monitors daily for about 60 days when one of the monitors went black. After some troubleshooting, I called Samsung service, and they had me ship it in for repair. Service and return took about ten days. When it arrived, everything worked fine for a day or two, then the other monitor went bad. Rinse and repeat; my second monitor is now at Samsung for repair. Also note Samsung will not replace the failed device only repair, which I feel they should if its less than a year old and mine were less than 90 days old. I ask the service tech if it happens again where do I stand from a replacement standpoint, and he said it would need to be sent in again. Note each time you send it in, your business will suffer from a lack of proficiency.

Great Picture, USBC input, Daisychain (only for displayport input), thin surround.
Purchased two of them for 299.99 ea a few months back with intentions of hooking them up to my work issued HP laptop and my personal 2017 Macbook Pro that only has 2 usb-c ports. My goal was to have one wire straight to the macbook and have a dual monitor setup. IDEAL RIGHT?! Well standard protocal for usb c is 45w power output which is half as much as a MBP needs to stay fully charged under load. This meant two wires. Okay not a big deal, i can deal with 2 wires. This is where i was slightly let down. THe usb C and daisy chain are not related in any way. Daisychain is DISPLAY PORT ONLY. You cannot input via usb-c and then utilize display port to daisychain. If somebody figures it out, let me know cause i cant find info on how- anywhere.Again, not a big deal. You can use two usb c cables, one into each monitor and it works like a charm. Get some longer 6ft cables so you can make them pretty, and you are good to go. (the monitors come with 3ft).This was amazing for peripherals as each monitor has 3 USB 2.0 ports. I had my mouse, keyboard, and keyboard accessory port hard wired in with minimal clutter. I mounted mine on a dual arm desk clamp style mount. (it was cheap, they dont align perfectly, it drives me nuts)Driving the monitors through my Work HP via display port was super easy. Set up the daisychain preferences in the moniotrs settings, plug it into one and it just worked. No big deal. Downside here is dispalyport could not read the usb stuff, so i would need to plug my mouse and keyboard into the usb ports on the laptop. This meant there was a lot of switching around every time i transferred between the two. I left an xbox plugged into one monitor via HDMI the entire time and just switched to that input when i wanted to use it. Daisychain kept working on the other regardless of input choice on the main monitor as well. They are 2k so the picture is amazing, however only 60hz which is a deal breaker for a lot of gamers. I work on these suckers all day and then game on them all night, so 2k was the winner for me over a higher refresh rate. I could have done 2k at 144hz but i would be spending almost 3x the amount per monitor at the time.
