The Star Wars Book of Monsters, Ooze and Slime Paperback – July 20, 2021

My son loves Star Wars so was super excited to have this book. It's a pretty easy read and chock full of facts about Star Wars. He loved reading it and quizzing me about it to see what I know. Great little book.

My 5 year old has just started to read and started to watch star wars. He loves this book. It has all the monsters and more. His favourite read!

This small paperback went down pretty well with my 7yr old son who loves Star Wars. It’s targeted at young readers with a short fact type format accompanied by comic book style illustrations. The facts focus mostly on icky stuff and gross out humour, so are likely to appeal to a younger audience. That said, the book is full of quite niche Star Wars characters and creatures. In that respect it is probably best enjoyed by the hardcore fan (both me and my son fit that template, so no problem there!!). Overall, an enjoyable book but I’ve dropped a single star due to the perhaps limited appeal to casual Star Wars audiences and also the fact that I do not feel the book is likely to be a repeat read once finished.

Great book for a voracious young reader who gets through several books a week!
