The green velvet looks luxurious and thick and the cream fabric strips on the skirt give it a great Tudor look. The dress is very long - you may need to take it up or wear heels under it. The headband and yellow ribbon on the bodice let it down a little. I have bought a different velvet hairband and will invest in a more gold looking ribbon next time I wear this. I was delighted that it was true to size rather than microscopic, as some fancy dress clothes tend to be. The fabric is stretchy so fairly forgiving over a curvy figure, but I expect would work well on any body shape. Overall an excellent purchase!
