Great Inspiration for Young Minds
This is the first biography I’ve read in the Trailblazers series for middle grade.J.K. Rowling was a single mother when she scribbled the story of Harry Potter at café to keep herself and her daughter warm.Born in 1965 in a small town in England, Joanne from early age liked imaginative games. As well as reading and writing. Her dream was to become a writer. The magical world of Narnia and other fantasy stories influenced her imagination. After graduating from University, she drifted from job to job as a secretary. She wasn’t the best organized person. At twenty-five, one day while on a train, she got a vision for Harry Potter. This biography moves fast. At first, it seems as descriptions are too brief, not creating a story, but it quickly develops and becomes an interesting story. It covers the author’s life, not shunning from her private problems, and delving into her success with Harry Potter. It is written with simple sentences, embellished with black and white illustrations. From all the series I’ve read for middle grade this one seems to be the longest with the least illustrations (not a criticism, just a statement).J.K. Rowling story is a great inspiration for young minds. She went through tough times, which only strengthened her determination. She persevered in following her dreams. Despite her huge success, she remains humble, and active in many charity organizations. She is a hero who makes a difference for humanity.

Great book, just a few inaccuracies
Packed with information. great for kids and adults. Love the illustrations. If you're a Rowling fan i'd check this out. Just a few things, however. The Philosopher's Stone was just shy of 77000 words, not 90000. It mentions a few of her homes but misses a key one (won't say where for obvious reasons). In terms of court cases, there was no mention of The Worst Witch by Jill Murphy and striking similarities between the stories. I'm not sure there was a court case but the similarities should have been mentioned as there are too many for it to be coincidental.
