Excellent timer. I was looking for one that has an hour setting as well as minutes and seconds. There are not many available.The alarm sound is nice and loud, so it can be heard from a long distance away. It has a magnet to attach to the refrigerator. It also has a stand so it can be set on the table or counter. The size is such that I can put it in my pocket and set a time limit I want to spend when I take a daily walk, such as a half hour, etc. I reconfigured the back of the timer with other magnets, so when it is magnetically attached on the refrigerator, the buttons can be pushed without the timer tipping sideways and falling on the floor.This warning if noted in the enclosed directions.

It counts down time and makes noise when it's done, so I guess it works as a timer, but the buttons are extremely flimsy and almost broken (could be I got a bad one, I'll be returning it), not registering some presses. Also, viewing angles are horrible; looking at it from any angle but straight head-on makes it look like it's saying 88:88 and it's unreadable. Interesting note, regarding that: the screen itself clearly has an AM/PM indicator, but there's no way to turn it on. Why's it there, then?I wouldn't waste your time.

There is nothing wrong with this timer, it does exactly what it is designed to do and is quite simple to use. I had wanted something simple for timing yoga poses and meditation and it is not suitable as there is no way to turn down the alarm and the buttons make noise for each setup. My main point is as feedback to the vendor to add a "silent" mode in future designs. There is a real need for a simple time for yoga classes that is this affordable.

This is a good timer with a all the necessary basics. It has a large range, which is useful for the complex and sometimes long processes that my wife uses in the kitchen. The buttons are easy to press and clearly marked, and the beeper is loud enough to hear anywhere in the house.The only two downsides are a weak magnet and flimsy battery enclosure. The magnet is barely strong enough to hold it up on our fridge, so that should certainly be improved by the manufacturer. The battery enclosure has a cheap plastic door that flies off every time the timer is dropped even a short distance, which happens often with the weak magnet. It also has tiny plastic tabs that I doubt will hold up in the long run.

If you're planning to use the clock, please be aware that it only runs in military time. Also, it makes a loud beeping noise whenever you push a button, which seems unnecessary. If it weren't for these features, I'd give a higher rating. The screen is easy to read. The timer counts up or down.

I didn't realize how good this 'kitchen alarm' was until I got it. I was attracted to it because it was described as being loud. When it got here, I found that to be true, but found that it also has two modes, clock and timer, and is easy to set. The clock can display 24-hour time or the standard AM and PM. The device can be put into timer mode with one little push of the mode button, the timer can then be set (hours, minutes, seconds) and started, and then the device switched back to clock mode. The timer will continue to work in the background. This is a good product.

We needed one that hangs on the refrig... Hence the magnets on the back. You can not press any of the buttons without it falling off the refrigerator. Useless for our needs. Oh and the magnet has now fallen off since it tumbled to the floor so many times

The timer works well but feels sort of chincy. The magnet in the back of the timer came out about an hour after I stuck it to something causing the timer to hit the floor... the timer wasn't hurt though.The only other reason for 4 stars is that the beeper when your time expires is a little quiet for the area that I am using this.... I wish it could be a hair louder. BUT, for such an inexpensive timer, who could complain?
