TP-LINK AC1300 Archer T3U Plus High Gain USB 3.0 Wi-Fi Dongle, Wireless Dual Band MU-MIMO WiFi Adapter with High Gain Antenna, Supports Windows 11/10/8.1/8/7/XP/MacOS

This review is for the product style: TP-LINK AC1300 Archer T3U Plus High Gain USB 3.0 Wi-Fi Dongle, Wireless Dual Band MU-MIMO WiFi Adapter with High Gain Antenna ( link for this product style, if you are too lazy to scroll up to change product style, is https://www.amazon.in/TP-LINK-T3U-Wireless-MU-MIMO-Supports/dp/B0859M539M/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8 ). If you have Windows 10 then no need for the resource CD which is provided, you can directly plug it in and choose WiFi 2 or whatever the option is visible from the WiFi connections and you will easily be able to connect to any WiFi network. I guess the Resouce CD is for Windows 7&8. One very important thing I realised which had been on my mind is that my laptop didn't support 5GHz bandwidth which was provided by my router (I have JioFibre). This TP Link's AC 1300 USB WiFi Adapter supported both 2.4GHz and 5GHz. So I had my doubts about whether my laptop could detect 5GHz bandwidth with this USB WiFi Adapter which supported 5GHz. To my joy, my laptop could use the 5GHz bandwidth with the help of this AC1300 WiFi Adapter. If your laptop is placed in a location far away from your router then I suggest buying a USB WiFi adapter with an antenna like this one. The ones without the antenna work badly when the device is located far from the router. Also, if your router supports MU-MIMO technology which basically means that you can add up your 2.4GHz and 5GHz speeds, then it is definitely a product worthy enough to be bought as it also supports MU-MIMO although I haven't checked it as my router does not support it. If you are looking for an extender, good ones cost around 2000 and they still need to be in the range of vision of the router and so are not efficient if you place it outside the range of sight of the router. Here this High-Gain Antenna of this WiFi adapter comes into play. I personally was surprised that it boosted my WiFi signal strength greatly from 40% to 80% in 2.4Ghz bandwidth and from 50% to 80% in 5Ghz bandwidth (for 5Ghz I checked in another laptop). So if you want both an extender and a USB WiFi adapter, then you should go for this product. It uses USB 3.0 which is good, as network speeds up to 5gps will not be bottlenecked by the USB. Overall I find this product excellent but a little pricy if you don't avail all of its benefits like MU-MIMO support, High-Gain Antenna for amplifying Wi-Fi signal, and 5GHz bandwidth support. Edit: I also bought the AC600 High Gain Antenna Product and it is good too. Though a slight difference is that it uses USB 2.0 obviously as this does not need a speed higher than the max speed of USB 2.0 ( 480mbps). Well it shouldn't matter anyway.

I wasn't expecting this level of performance, but this product really impressed me. Setting it up was easy, and it worked perfectly right away. My internet plan is 100 Mbps, and when I tested the speed over the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band, I got around **93 Mbps download** and **94 Mbps upload**, which is excellent. The connection has been stable, and I haven't experienced any lag or disconnections so far. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase. It delivers exactly what I needed, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable Wi-Fi adapter.

Good product. It can give u very good speeds for long time. The performance depends upon ur plan and download of big files. For gaming purpose, entertainment purposes,it's great. It can heat up a lot if you try to download big files with very high speed internet. I am using 200mbps plan and tried to to download 8gb file which heated it lot and slowed down the performance for a while. Other than that it's a great product. great wifi signal range and it's just plug and play. Go with 3.0 one because if u want to download large files with high speed internet it will be the best choice. I have used while using virtual machine for Oracle database and I didn't face any issues. So I think it won't be much problem with any other os related Virtual machines.

Just buy it it's signals are good has good packaging and the antenna rotation availability is very nice as you can adjust it as per you like in your desktop or any device. Great product just a little expensive but value for money.

Nice and worth full.

Used this on different Linux distros, the performance is up to the mark. the Installation was also easy you'll just have to insert it to USB 3 slot to make it work properly, Speed wasn't good in Bazzite and Fedora based distros, I was getting 50-60% of the actual speed, may be in the later update they'll fix the speed issue. CachyOS and other Arch based distros were working fine and was achieving optimal performance. Ended up using Pika OS and the dongle was able to achieve optimal performance. So it's compatible with most of the modern Linux distros.

very bad, waste of money.

Default windows drivers put it to go via usb 2.0 (highspeed). I had to install driver from tplink website to get it detected as usb 3.0 (superspeed) Though link speed shows 866 Mbps actual file copy speed in LAN is not getting above 300Mbps. Connection is stable. No issues in using for internet browsing. But if your ISP speed is like 500Mbps or above, this dongle don't cut.

Działa jak należy, to już mój trzeci T3U Plus, wcześniej kupowałem do innych urządzeń.

Absolutely fantastic. I tried this before I ran an Ethernet cable across the house just in case it worked. Honestly, for me, it works as well as the wired connections I have in other rooms in the house.

ottima antenna WIFI ad alto guadagno. Plug & Play. Funziona su tutte e due le frequenza 2,4 e 5 ghz Non mi ha mai dato problemi. Ottima

En lo aprticular me llego ene xcelente estado, se siente de buen material y pues la señal no me falla, muy satisfecho

Worked ok for one evening. From the next morning it started getting disconnected and would only work when I unplugged it and plugged it back in, before it failed again within 5 minutes. Used it on another pc, exact same behaviour. Oh well...
