In each instance the impact was a direct hit to a corner. Good news: the phone was undamaged. Bad news: the aluminum bumper is dented. Not too surprising, really, since it is constructed of aluminum. The bumper is still serviceable, so this is really just a cosmetic issue. FWIW, I am using the bumper without the plastic back.My rating is unchanged because the bumper is minimalist, very good looking AND protective. In addition, the price is such that it is not that expensive to replace when damaged. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best bumper case I've found to date. *by L***L on June 10, 2016* I've been looking for a decent bumper case ever since I got my iPhone 6s. This one is best of three that I have used. I wanted a bumper case in particular because I have a dbrand skin on my phone and wanted a bit more protection without adding too much to the feel of the phone with a clear case (as I have one of those too.) The main problem I've had with bumpers in the past for this phone is that the sleep/wake and volume buttons become hard to use because of the design of those bumpers. This bumper however made it to where those buttons are responsive without much effort.
