My boat doesn’t allow for a pole mount in an ideal location and this looked like it could work. I sort of messed up on the install with the foam tape… It didn’t specify that you needed to cut it in half and I ended up using it all on the top mount leaving just the zip tie on the bare metal. I will fix that later on… It does hold though at 42mph and gusts of wind.The Bottom Line:I looked at other clip options but I liked that this is truly universal and the pole diameter didn’t matter. I mounted a small marine flag to my anchor light. Got up to cruising speed, around 30 MPH, looked back and my flag and light pole were GONE.
