Unfortunately, Elta is discontinuing this marvelous sunscreen and going with one that has the benzones and other non-mineral type of stuff. I love this particular formula and will stop when I can't find t his one anymore. Very sad they had to change the winning formula.Edited 6/13/24 I am sorry I have to change my review. Previously, EltaMD had a tinted Elements formula with spf44. This is not that product, this is not tinted and while it will work under makeup, it leaves a ghastly white cast so not a product I would ever wear alone. Please Elta, make the old formula again.

At 38, I have acne-prone combination skin. I get sooo dry in the cheeks that I’m starting to get fine lines there. I’ve been on the hunt for a high-quality mineral sunscreen that wouldn’t dry me out. I’ve tried md solar sciences mineral creme and moisturizing mineral. I’ve tried Rodan and fields recharge spf. I’ve tried sooo many and they all have me looking like a shriveled prune by the day’s end. But THIS. oh then there’s THIS. ITS scent free, non- comedegenic, and MOISTURIZING. Holy cow the skin plumping! A little of my Alima pure mineral powder over top, and some hd powder on my nose, and VOILA! I’m not oily on the nose hours later (usually am) and I’m still looking glowing but it doesn’t feel greasy. I think after years of searching I’ve finally come home and found my HOLY GRAIL.I never write reviews btw.Also, for reference, I’m extremely fair. This only looks good on me because of that. If you are tan or have deeper color- this will leave a white cast. In that case, I recommend their tinted version. (Which I purposely avoided after a fair skinned reviewer shared that it was too dark on her )If you are fair,… this will make you look like a glowy ethereal being.Summation:leaves a white cast- if you’re fair you’ll look gorgeous. If you’re darker get the tinted versionLeaves a glowy but not greasy finishLayers nicely under mineral makeup- I’m not sure about liquid but I imagine if you use a sponge it would layer well.Left my combo skin balanced and extremely plumped and hydrated ALL DAY.Pretty sure I will use this till the day I die. Please don’t ever stop making it.

I've been using this face sunscreen ever since my dermatologist recommended it. She suggested wearing it daily because I'm in and out of my car every day running errands and working in my yard, even if I'm not at the pool, beach or boat. She reminded me of sun exposure when we're not really aware. I usually use the Elta MD tinted face sunscreen which I prefer. This one is also very good and seems a bit thicker. It makes a perfect base under my foundation. It goes on white but smoothes out clear and it really works! I'm in the sun constantly in south Florida and haven't gotten any hint of a sunburn on my face. I highly recommend this product for anyone who worries about sun damage on their face. I also use their body sunscreen.

Reasonably easy to apply. Leaves a bit of a white cast but I’m really pale anyway.

This served function as sunscreen, but with my sensitive skin it caused my skin to become very dry and breakout. Leaves a white film after application and difficult to remove from hands.

I saw many reviews saying that the white cast on this sunscreen was very disappointing as it was very noticeable, which would be true on someone with tan skin. However as an extremely pale person, this sunscreen is perfect. Blended right in, and is completely un noticeable. If you are an extremely pale person looking for an oil free mineral sunscreen, ignore the price and buy it!!!
