i have always used sistema products, never had an issue with quality, this set is no exception. Cheaper than an electric rice cooker and cooks rice in about the same length of time. I did 200g of white basmati rice in 10 minutes (instructions say 8-12 for 250g so it's quite accurate). A little trial and error will be needed to figure out the right measurements for you. Follow the instructions! The rice goes IN the pot, NOT on top of the steamer plate - I saw some reviews say that it melted when they used.....because they put water in the pot and the rice on the plate. Rice in the pot WITH the water, same as an electric rice cooker. Don't line up the holes in both lids, they need to be alternated. Read the instruction book included, works perfectly. The round bowl is an excellent size for me to use as a noodle bowl at work (it also held the 200g of cooked rice perfectly. i have had one of these bowls before but I think must have been an old design. The lids used to sit over the edge of the bowl (like the lid on a jar or plastic tub) but they sit slightly inside the bowl (see images) which I think it much better. Reduces the chances of leaking, much better seal. Again, follow the instructions for use, use the vent the way it's meant to be used. Sistema is always a good buy in my opinion so any time I find it on offer I grab it. £13.12 at time of ordering, an absolute steal! Really easy to clean. Hot soapy water before first use and the same again after use. I suggest washing as soon as possible after and be mindful of what food you use it for to avoid stains.

The product does exactly what you’d expect it to. It’s a good size - holds enough rice for a family meal. Only had it for a short time but quality looks and feels good.

The rice cooker is an excellent design. This is the second one I have bought. I mainly use it for lentils or potatoes and carrots. However this new one is NOT as good as the old one. It takes much longer to cook the veg. Normally my lentils are done in 15-20 mins, potatoes similarly. The new one is taking twice as long. The vessel doesn’t have the same feel. I suspect, altho don’t know, it has a different plastic material, ?thicker. I have not yet tried it with rice. Since I normally use red or brown rice I suspect I will find the same cooking time issue. I like the shape and the handles on the lid are a good size. The veggie pot is identical to the soup pot but without the handle. The handle on the soup pot is very useful and safer for me as a disabled person. I use it for cooking small veg eg peas and cut beans. The lips on the lid of this veggie pot are MUCH TOO SMALL. I have compared them to the lips on the rice cooker. They are about half the depth and not big enough even for a small hand. I agree the handle on the soup pot is too big for storage but these lips are too dangerous with boiling hot liquid inside. I open the valve to let it cook off before trying to remove it from the microwave. I like Sistema products, I think they make excellent dishes and are usually of an excellent design but I think the veggie pot needs a rethink to bigger lips.

After washing the microwave rice steamer and rinsing the jasmine rice four times, I followed the instructions for weight and water given for cooking. I started with the lower time limit being 8 minutes; I checked the rice, stirred it, and then put it back in the microwave for the remaining 4 minutes. What came out was good enough once I put the spoon through and stirred it to separate the grains. Yes, it might have taken close to the same amount of time on the hob; however, I didn't need to stand over it constantly stirring so that the rice didn't burn on the bottom of the pan. The two covers are difficult to handle when you first remove the steamer from the microwave because of the steam, which makes things a little difficult if you need to check the rice and recook it. The starch from the rice also tends to stick to both lids, even when the rice has been washed as thoroughly as possible. The steamer was easy enough to clean by hand, as there are no sharp or inaccessible parts. I've used it a few times now, and the bowl has remained strong; it hasn't warped, and the lids still fit and clip on easily. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. Edited 23/08/2025: I've since ditched this microwave cooker for a Yum Asia Panda rice cooker. Yes, it takes 40 minutes, but I don't have to monitor it, and the rice comes out perfectly every single time. I have passed my Sistema microwave cooker on to someone else.

I just want to say massive thank you !!! It sounds like someone boring ‘s speech but I honestly lost my words - best ever fluffy cous cous in a minimum time of 4 mins ! The instructions are correct 👍 for the mineral water 💦 amount and cous cous amount and the time 🕰️. It is properly steamed and tastes divine !!! It is like a quality of Moroccan restaurants I adored in France. Hyper easy going and my life gets easier ! All what I need is to focus on my le cruset cooking of meat and vegetables ! Absolutely no complaints in the quality of cooked cous cous. I was hugely sceptical as I am very fussy in the fluffy texture of cous cous . Delightful! Totally recommend this. I have got a Black Friday deal and unbelievable cost effectiveness. One more small one for reheating is hidden inside the big cooker .

Good quality, easy to store and clean, no muss just 30mins in the microwave and then in the fridge once you're done. So easy. I just wish it was in different colours cause I might just get one for every day of the week. And it was enough for 4+ people.

J'étais septique et en fait mon riz est super bien cuit. Le petit descriptif correspond assez à la cuisson à vérifier avec les watts de votre micro-onde. Le mien fait 800w et après cuisson je laisse 5 mins pour que ça finisse bien la cuisson.
