GREAT value for the money!!!
I returned this one unopened simply because I had accidentally ordered too many. It's a GREAT switch for the money, and does a great job of providing the power for the PoE devices. Looks great, works well.

Replaced a *much* more expensive unit that had fans and was noisy
This PoE switch is replacing a much more expensive unit that had loud fans. It has to be placed in a cabinet under my T.V. so the fans were annoying, plus I could tell that dust buildup was going to be a problem. I was also having intermittent problems with the old switch just refusing to communicate via any ports once in a while. When I wired this unit up it refused to send power to one of the PoE devices while the others were fine. After resetting and moving ports around I found that the problem followed the wiring and not the PoE device or the switch. Sure enough a CAT6 cable tester indicated an intermittent open. This switch refused to power the device and this is precisely what it should do when there is a wiring issue. I cut off the old connectors and put on new ones. Problem solved. This switch has been running 24/7 since the day of purchase. It runs cool, makes no noise and has been flawless. It is not managed but I don't really need any management features for this switch. I hope it sits quietly in the cabinet doing its job for so long that I forget I own it.

Seller replaced the unit that failed exactly one week after the warranty expired.
The seller replaced the switch even a few weeks after the warranty expired. Original POE switch worked for one year and one week connecting two cameras to the main router. It simply failed to connect two POE cameras. The new switch is working perfectly. Thank you for replacing and standing behind your product.

1 year later, still performing reliably!
I purchased two of these in January 2021, and have put one of them to use in February 2021. I use this switch to provide connectivity and power to four Reolink RLC-410-5MP security IP cameras. I live in a location with tropical weather climate (i.e., warm weather all year long, ambient temperatures between 78F-89F). This switch is housed inside a plastic junction box with no external ventilation. Providing this information to give an idea of the operating conditions and environment. After about 1-year of use, this POE network switch is still working as intended, and reliably. I had reservations about purchasing this switch over other well known brands. What ultimately convinced me was the price point of this switch and the two uplink ports, effectively making this a 10-port switch with 8 ports having POE+ capability. The other well known brands are typically sold as 5-port switches. The next selling point was that the other well known brands typically only have POE power output (15 watts per port), while this switch provides POE+ output (30 watts per port). While 30 watts is not required for the Reolink cameras that I am using, I wanted to have the capability to support higher wattage cameras, such as those with PTZ capability, should I decide to upgrade or replace the existing cameras. Finally, this switch offered all these additional capabilities at a price point that was lesser than the other well known brands. It was a risk to take even though it was cheaper, as this decision could have turned out to be more expensive if I ended up having to replace this switch with one of the well known brands. However, after about 13 months of use, this switch is still performing reliably! I haven't performed any benchmarks to confirm the Gigabit capability of this switch. The video feed from the Reolink cameras work flawlessly, but the data produced by the four cameras are not sufficient to saturate the gigabit capability of the switch. While I don't doubt the switch's gigabit capability, I also don't have data to support and confirm that the switch is, in fact, capable of gigabit transfers. I haven't even checked on this switch since I first powered it on. It has been maintenance free up to this point. The second unit that I purchased was for the purpose of providing an immediate backup unit, in the event that the first unit became inoperable. However, the second unit has just been sitting in storage gathering dust. Overall, my experience with the switch has been positive during the 1-year of use. I would buy this product again, for future projects that I may have that require POE+ capability.

Consolidates a Needed Function Here
Like everyone I'm sure, space in network cabinets is precious. This POE switch allows me to eliminate a separate stand-alone POE injector panel for security cameras and Wi-Fi AP's, consolidating those functions plus the switch into one box. Yes, I'd be a lot happier if there were rack-mounting ears available, rather than sitting it on a rack shelf. I bought this switch on a pre black-Friday sale, and in spite of the several reports of failures it was still worth the gamble. I placed it in the cabinet and powered it, and connected the LAN port to our existing switch. After two months, I decided today to actually plug a couple non-critical devices devices into it. They powered up nicely and seem to be functioning. I'll slowly migrate five other POE devices to it, and of course watch for failure signs that other report. With two 100MBIT cameras plugged in, there should be almost no strain on either the data or POE delivery. After I get a few more cameras moved over, I'll look harder at traffic load and power delivery. This box is compact, has a built-in power supply so no external brick, and fits nicely in the cabinet. Surface temp on the case is about 105ยบF, about 25ยบ above ambient in the cabinet. The small surface area of the box at that temp offers no worries so far. The fan-less design is a plus, so long as those temps don't get excessive. It's close to the bottom of the active device stack in there so should be OK. I've seen no noticeable increase if top of cabinet temps since adding this switch, although it's not close to rated data or POE loads. I'll continue to monitor as loads are moved from the existing injector-only device. The review will be updated if things change significantly. My initial impression is that it's a good device for our needs. The great sale price was a bonus.

This cheap POS died after two weeks.
This POS died after about two weeks just outside the return period. The device had power, but the network ports would not light up. I could not ping it. It was dead. I've been a network engineer for 30 years. Trust me, this cheap switch is a POS. I just wanted something cheap that could do VLANs for a home lab, but this is the wrong choice. Next time I buy a product from a brand name that I've used before,.
