The Black Woman's Little Book of Spells: Magical Keys to Transforming Your Life Paperback – January 24, 2020

This is such a wonderful book, and has been my go to since getting it. What I think is so special is that she goes into not just a recipe list of spells, but tells her experiences and the why behind them. Add in the stories are all too familiar, and hit home. So of course, this one made it to my binder that is referenced all the time! Very good book, excellent representation, modern and relevant!

I love the voice of this book and appreciate the intensity of use whatever you need to make these spells work for you. It's encouraging and helpful to hear from a Black woman. I'd love to read more from this witch.

Look no further for where to start because when I say Barney style but full of wisdom and knowledge, plus relatable on so many levels.

I enjoyed this book, I found it funny, engaging and the spells to be practical (even if some of them contained way too many parts/ingredients). A lot of the material in there was also very relatable for me as a Black woman in today's world and as a newly practicing witch. However, I did find the author's writing to be a bit juvenile in some places and somewhat mediocre. I knew I wasn't getting a serious academic study of ancient witchcraft here but I expected her writing to be a bit more... serious? There's a section where she absolutely discredits the idea of karma - huh? To me karma is a pillar of witchcraft, ancient and modern and for any supposed expert on the subject to say it doesn't really matter made me arch a brow of confusion. If you don't believe in karma, especially on a cosmic level then honestly, how can you call yourself a witch? Regardless, this book is still a worthy buy, as its chock full of spells that are well organized and achievable. Just don't expect anything too deep or grand as its really a book for beginners.

I need these spells because I'm in a not so good place become of shame,fear,& a not smart enough childhood.
