V73/9H Indoor Shrink Window Kit 42 62-Inch, Clear, 9-Pack

I cannot believe the difference this product has made to our large conservatory. For the first time ever we’ve been able to use the conservatory all through the winter months. It’s been wonderful! I messed up the first couple of pieces, but once I’d got the hang of it, the rest of the windows were fitted easily. Make sure the windows are thoroughly clean and dry before using the product because once it’s on…it is on!! I also wiped the frames with an alcohol solution as another precaution re; the sticky tape. Do NOT hold the hairdryer too close to the wrap as it will definitely put a hole in it 🫣It doesn’t take long for the heat to shrink the wrap, and once done it’s as tight as a drum.

Brilliant once you get the hang of it. I also Brought some more double sided tape to use. Definitely noticed a difference. It does wrinkle often but dissappear once hairdryered again

Very easy to install. Has definitely made a difference to my room. No cold draughts despite having new double glazing. The only downside was the tape marked the sheeting whilst it was in the box and now installed unfortunately the mark is on the inside and unable to clean off.

The tape took three goes to get it to stick .

I brought this kit because my windows are letting draughts in and I needed a temporary fix for winter, I ordered this kit with high hopes, the window films are quite good however the double sided tape that was provided was shocking, the film kept falling away from the window frame with the tape stuck to the film, once I’d finally got it all stuck thinking it was done the film looked a mess around the edges and a couple of the films tore because of the tape that was stuck to them that wasn’t sticking to the window, they lasted all of one day up and started to come away from the windows again, I’ve had to buy more double sided tape which is stronger than what was provided in the kit, once the films are held up it really does stop the draught pity they don’t supply better tape to do the job

I wish I hadn’t wasted my money on this product, the tape provided is not fit for purpose, it would barely stick to the window frames, and when it finally did stick it peeled off at the corners, and then over night it peeled off completely. I followed in instructions, I’m used to hanging wallpaper, installing DIY products, but this was a total waste of money, will be thrown in the bin, DO NOT BUY!!

These kits haven’t changed much in the last 20 years… it’s cling film a sticky tape….Apply hair dryer. Awkward at times… but does the job well if you’re careful to get a good seal with the initial tape application. Take your time!!

I saw multiple reviews saying the tape wasn't sticky enough, but bought it anyway. The film has come off on all 3 windows I've installed it on. I have used other products before so I know this is an issue specific to this brand

Funcionó bastante bien

Good, strong film that makes quite a bit of difference and is (relatively) easy to apply. The only drawback is that the way the sheets are cut can result in a lot of waste, depending on the size of your windows. I probably wasted a third to a half of each sheet. Also, the creases in the folds remained, which means that the film is visible. That doesn't bother me, but it may be an issue for more aesthetically-minded people.

J'ai suivi exactement les instructions mais le ruban adhésif double face ne maintient pas le film en place tout autour de la bordure, nous ne pouvons donc pas obtenir le plein effet de l'isolation. C’est domage.

TLDR: After using this product to secure my home, my energy bill dropped significantly I moved into a small 20 yr old townhome in Nov 2019, around 1500 sq ft. I was surprised to get my first heating bill (I live in Richmond BC, by gas via Fortis BC). It was way beyond any utility bill I have paid. A year later I decided to install this window insulation kit and you will see in my attachment that my energy used dropped signifcantly. To put things in perspective, remember that in 2019/2020 Jan and Feb it was still ok to go to work and travel so we were barely home and I had the heat down during the day; whereas 2020 we are home all day and needing heat as well. The average temp for both years were 5 celcius in January 2019 and 2020 with 4 celcius in Feb 2019 and 5 celcius in Feb 2020. Overall, I highly recommend this product to those who want to insulate their home better. Especially those that are older with single pane windows.
