If you aren't plumber and don't pull out Moen shower or sink cartridges on a regular basis, this tool is is for you. It is aluminum, light, but perhaps not terribly durable bouncing around in a toolbox all the time. It works well and saved me the cost of a plumber visit. Highly recommended and worth the outlay.

I would highly recommend that you have this on hand when you go to replace the Moen cartridge. The tool is sturdy and works without issue. I used it exactly as the instructions stated and it pulled out the cartridge that was original from the 90s without issue. I might never use this again, but to have it on hand is worth the money.I did follow other steps people recommend about spraying the cartridge in CLR and letting it sit overnight. Also, Moen's customer service was great! I e-mailed them to confirm the part number for the cartridge. And they sent a new one for free under warranty. With an e-mailed guide and step-by-step instructions. Good luck with your replacement. Take your time and you got it.

Tool was great. fitment for the moen fixture was great. Definitely use some sort of lubricant spray to help remove the old cartridge! the rubber binds up and makes it difficult even with the puller. Lube spray made cartridge come right out.

Product functioned n worked well.

The main thing that stood out to me was the quality of the material that was used. It is not plastic, or aluminum, it is steel. Knowing that you have to twist and pull the "cartridge" that is in the pipe, outwards, you don't want inferior quality material used in the cartridge puller. And this device is made just right! When I read the instructions and watched a video of how to use this device properly on You-Tube, the process was super easy. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who wants a quality made piece of equipment.

Worked like a charm. I had spent an hour with pliers and frustration before I purchased this tool. Five minutes later this tool had the stuck cartridge out.

I had to replace a moen 1222 cartridge from my tub/shower enclosure. I knew it would probably be tough because it's been there for about 13 years and our water is very hard. The extractor was able to move the cartridge out about 1/4 of an inch and then it became too difficult to move. I applied heat and a penetrating oil and patiently worked with the extractor to keep pressure on the cartridge. It took almost an hour to get the cartridge out. Unfortunately, the screw in the extractor broke about 15 minutes into the operation making it totally useless. The picture and the description for this product is misleading. As others have stated, it's almost all aluminum with the exception of the aforementioned screw. To make matters worse, the screw itself seems to be a not too common size. I thought I could just go the the local hardware store, (ACE), and replace it. I measured the diameter at 11/64's but the thread pitch is just a hair off of 24 threads per inch. I don't have metric thread gauges so I couldn't determine if that's the issue, but nothing at the hardware store matched the screw. I can only surmise that the manufacturer wants one to keep buying replacements. I am going to look for a better quality product and I would suggest that for others as well.

I could not get the shower cartridge out by hand....but with this tool it took less than a minute....very easy to use. Seems to be well made and will last a long time.

Extracteur cartouche MOEN

Very light material compared to my other puller.. but it worked well. I broke my other cartridge pulling it out with my other cartridge puller that was meant for a different cartridge so I wanted to get this one that was meant for my cartridge so I didn't break it and spend hours trying to drill out my cartridge being careful to not hit any pipe. I got the cartridge half out and broke it again with this one but that was my own fault because I started to put pressure from side to side instead of pulling straight out. . But having it half out only took a couple mins to destroy and pull out the old cartridge. So I would say this is worth buying just don't push side to side.
