Excellent Product
I recently purchased this product to address issues with the second SSD slot on my motherboard, which unfortunately was no longer functional. My goal was to upgrade my SSD to 4TB, and this device proved to be a valuable tool for disk cloning. During the transfer process, I realized that I hadn't backed up essential data, leaving me concerned about potential complications. Despite this oversight, the product demonstrated exceptional reliability, and fortunately, the transfer proceeded without any issues. This converter has been a smart investment for upgrading computers with M.2 devices. It facilitated a smooth transfer of SSD content to a larger drive, and its overall performance has been commendable. The ease of use, speed, and reliability make it a practical choice for individuals seeking a hassle-free solution for upgrading and cloning SSDs.

Great product
Love this little guy. I am a IT pro, and this was added to my bag of tricks. Used it many times, never had an issue. May not be the fastest thing in the world, but I Bill by the hour - so there is that :).

durable and versatile
I bought this several years ago and thought I would only use it once to swap SSD's on a laptop. I dug it out again this week and it works great.

Great but a could be improved in durability
Works great but may be a little weak on the usb connector legs. I'm on my second one and this time I soldered the connector down as the last one I had eventually snapped . It really is a great device!

Works to connect M.2 to USB
This worked perfectly to upgrade my M.2 operating system disk in my HP desktop gaming PC. I used Aomei Backupper to copy Windows 10 (at that time) to a new larger 1TB M.2 disk plugged into this adapter then I swapped the M.2 disks on the motherboard and booted the new disk. It was too easy.

Worked perfectly to clone my 256 MB SSD to a terabyte SSD.

Lasted me for years
This adapter lasted me for years. This has been abused; I own a PC repair shop and use this very often. Did not run into any issues during data recovery. Very helpful when needed, especially it can do m2 sata ssd and nvme ssd

Great Concept, Poor Execution
Frequently disconnects from system (Win11) during file transfers no matter what USB port it's in. I thought this would be a handy way to keep my old Samsung 860 M.2 SATA SSD around, since the motherboard in my newest build won't recognize the old interface with PCIe being the current standard. It would've been so easy to pop this into one of the USB ports whenever I needed to pull something off the old drive. Total headache. I should've went ahead and splurged for the cheaper SABRENT M.2 SATA SSD to 2.5 SATA internal adapter and been done with it. But I took a chance with this and instantly regretted it after fiddling with it for a couple days and getting nowhere. The drive would show up fine and stay connected as long as I was just looking at the files on it. But as soon as I went to pull something off of it, poof. Gone. Not sure if the adapter gets too hot during file transfers or what, but it completely disconnected multiple times and wouldn't show back up until a system restart. Rinse, repeat, time wasted. As I alluded to above, I ended up going with the cheaper SABRENT M.2 SATA SSD to 2.5 SATA internal adapter and I've had zero issues with the drive being recognized by Windows and staying connected to the system, no matter the file transfer size. In all actuality it's way more handy than this adapter would've been, as it stays connected to the motherboard and is always available. No need to pop a drive into a USB slot and wait for it to be read (only to disconnect). It's there when I need it.

Excellent product!
Over 250 mbps write speeds with my Samsung 890 Pro M.2. Highly recommend. Used as an external storage solution for my old 1T Samsung M.2. Upgraded to the Black 2T M.2 for my PS5. Now I can use old 1T M.2 like a USB.
