No, the chairs are not damaged. All webbing was in great shape and no dings in the aluminum. However, they will ship 2 in a box and will need assembly. This was not noted when I bought them, so at first I thought 2 might be missing. They shipped through UPS and part 2 arrived the next day. From the condition of the second box on arrival I would say they are pretty durable. Easy to assemble, lightweight and comfortable. Perfect for outside dining and will require little to no maintenance. I would buy again.
