Quality smartwatch
I have to commend Withings on this watch. I love watches and any excuse to buy a new one. Personally, I find the smart watches try too do too much these days and I end up not using it, but this watch has struck a sweet spot that I have not come across with others. The main reason for buying this watch for me was the fact that it uses traditional hands. I do not need to tilt my wrist to read the time and the stronger the sun, the better I can see it because they are REAL hands (hurrah). They even have a small amount of luminous pain on them which is just enough to be able to read them in the dark, but failing that, you can resort to pressing the button and the time will display in the top window. Furthermore, if the window is blocked by any of the hands, it will move the hands out of the way to enable you to have an unobstructed view of the window. Cleverly, it only does this if the hands are in the way. What a wonderful touch. This watch has a very long battery life. The manufacturers have clearly thought about all of the battery draining aspects and designed the watch with this as a key deliverable. For example, there is no second hand and the minute hand moves in one movement every minute rather than sweeping slowly around the face. I also like the step monitor, it is the bottom dial and enables you to see at a glance approximately how many steps you have achieved in the day. Other functions such as sleep, sport and a host of heart and breathing related aspects that are allegedly medical grade are interesting and in a way reassuring, but not intrusive or the main reason I wanted a watch like this. I use a bicycle most days and the set-up is simple. A long press gets it into exercise mode (you can change this if you like), three rotational clicks on the side button and you see a picture of a bike, one more press and it's all set. It links to Strava and takes GPS from the mobile, measuring speed, distance and heart-rate continuously. It certainly did a better job than my previous smart watch which actually surprised me given the visual simplicity. The only thing that I have found rather strange is that there is no way of knowing the precise time in seconds. This certainly doesn't bother me but it might bother others. Honestly, I haven't really done this watch justice. I cannot stress how much I have missed having a proper watch on my arm, it looks and feels fantastic. The other features I think are a bonus, yet they work reliably and the whole watch is extremely well thought out. This is such a good watch, I don't think I can ever justify giving anything else five stars in the future!

The greatest tracker for watch entusiasts, with great features
I started to be interested on Scanwatch since its presentation at CES 2020. After hesitating getting one on early release in Augusto (1000 pieces), I got it a few days ago in normal sales through Amazon, updated to the latest software. In general review. If you like watches, this is the PERFECT tracker. You get a good step and HR monitor which you can wear every day without feeling of having a rubbery tracker or a mobile phone strapped to your wrist. Notifications are off by default and it does its job without being intrusive, with little use of the long lasting battery. The information is clear and simple: steps, floors climbed, distance travelled, heart monitor, always monitored. Then you can start tracking activities, run an ECG or run an Oxygen Saturation monitor. The night sleeping monitor can be improved in my opinion. But it does have some good functionalities like tracking the O2 levels to detect sleep apnea, which to me was quite important as I had some episodes a while ago. Overall, it is a brilliant tracker for watch entusiasts, featuring standard straps, for people that want a battery that lasts more than a day or few days without charging and for people that are interested in proper health monitoring features, maybe due to conditions or general awareness. Brilliant product. Detailed review and useful notes. I have done all the configuration with the app, so I am not sure why some reviewers found that difficult... Open the Health app, add the device and it just works. I tested it on an Android device. The overall watch width for the 42mm version is 50mm. Check your wrist. As a watch entusiast, the recommendation is always to have the watch not exceeding the width of your wrist. If your wrist is narrower, just go for the 38mm and it will look nice and classy. I got a couple of doctor friends that checked the results. The ECG is a bit noisy to their like, but usable and useful, especially if you have a condition to monitor. Remember that for the ECG to work you need to place your other hand on top of the watch. Keep as still as you can to avoid noise from the reading. Together we also checked the O2 measurements and were let down at first by that. Measurements were either "inconclusive" or measuring low saturation levels compared to the finger regular sensor we were trying. We checked then more carefully the instruction, as one of the doctor pointed out about the watch being closed to the wrist bones. It turned out by reading there that the watch has to be places AT LEAST 1cm away from such bones. Also, it has to be fit relatively tight. Not too much, but enough so it doesn't slip on your skin (when trying to rotate it, the skin should follow). Also, you should rest your hand relaxed on a surface, possibly opened. Results were always spot on by just doing that. Check the picture attached to see how I was doing my readings. Small downside notes: the charger is not inductive, it uses 2 contacts that have to be aligned well for it to work and they get out of place if you accidentally touch the watch. Just be aware. Charging time is quick, less than an hour as far as I can tell. The regular HR monitor (with the LEDs) is quite fast and seems relatively reliable. The battery lasts for days and days of wearing it constantly with the standard monitoring running. Battery depletes a bit faster when running ECGs and O2 measures, but not terribly fast. During my tests I noticed because I was running a test after the other, so overall the battery duration is impressive EDIT: the battery is amazing. I tried charging it in full and check it out for a few days. I have been wearing the watch 24/7, went out walking, had quite a few ECG and O2 measurements taken. It has been 17 days now on, the battery still shows 23%... I am amazed. I think I might forget to charge it when it is needed :)

Good but need more choice for watch face
Good build quality, app is good. The watch does what is does very well, Withing products are generally very well designed and made. My only gripe is that the watch face is difficult to see in low light, the glass is too reflective, more like a mirror, as you age you need more contrast or better light to see. The numbers and hands are no easy to see on Whiting watches. My wife has a white and gold which is easier but it small and not the colour I want for myself, I bought the 44" black but had to return it as I found the glass is domed and reflects and this makes it even worse to see the time. I would have preferred the Horizon version but it's nearly £500 Withing need to work on the watch face a bit more in my opinion.

Great looking, no-nonsense fitness tracking watch that works great!
Great watch, looks fantastic and the sapphire glass is a great touch and makes it much clearer than run of the mill mineral glass. The setup was easy and the app is great for connecting with google fit and strava. The strap size is 20mm so is very easy find replacements if you want a change of look. The tracking data is the best ive seen from a watch, including various fitbits smart watches including the Samsung Galaxy Watch. The step dial is handy as it is a good indicator of how active you have been at a glance. Scrolling through the menu is simple, ive actually used the timer and stopwatch function too which i never do even on a standard digital watch! Although it is predominantly an analogue watch without a touch screen, it is very easy to find and start a workout and read the data, i prefer this to the all singing and dancing smart watches where half the features i dont use once the novelty has warn off. The sleep monitoring is brilliant and the sleep apnea and afib detection is great. The automatic workout detection works as much as is expected, it isnt infallable but does a good job. If it gets it wrong you can always change what it thinks it has detected later in the app anyway so it isnt a big deal. If you want a great looking, well built, no-nonsense timepiece with health tracking abilities that just works, this is for you.

Very accurate ECG, HR Monitor and Activity Counter. A cool medical device, not a sport device.
This is the perfect watch for those of you who want health monitoring without the complications of an Apple/Samsung/Garmin watch. It has a medical grade ECG which I can confirm is accurate and can detect heart rate fibrillation (which I used to have). It is not a watch for hang gliders, parachutists or surfers- it is really more of a medical device that looks like a really nice analogue watch. No music, gps or remote answering but on the other hand battery life is great, and can last several weeks without recharging. The phone app that comes with it is simple to use but has nice functions including activity monitoring and sending readings to your doctor in a pdf report. Well built watch that looks great too. Very happy.

The Scanwatch is not ready for market, I feel it is a part developed product
The battery level on the watch and the app permanently displays 100%. The Scanwatch has no stress monitoring facility. No body battery facility. The glass display is very reflective, so I find myself twisting my wrist backwards and forwards to see the display. The sleep app is very inaccurate. I will sleep from 11pm to 8 am and the watch will say I slept for 3 hours. I have never seen the sleep app have any sort of accuracy. The battery lasts well because the watch does very little, so of course the battery will last a long time. The app and watch so not sync reliably, I have to resync many times, sometimes the app will just freeze and I have to force close it. This watch needs more development before it is put to market. The auto activity detection does not work, everytime I get in the car apparently I'm cycling, even at 70mph on the motorway. I had a great cycle 120 miles to Heathrow apparently in just 2 hours. I go for a 30 minute run and it detected 7 minutes of it. Looks good, but functionality is not there.

Great watch, but prone to faults with the crown button
I have had this watch since June 2021, very pleased with it on the whole. Does a lot despite not looking like a smartwatch being nicely styled in the analogue tradition. The app is also ok, although some features seem to bug out (like activity tracking and VO2 calculation) when they update and it can take months to fix, but again, it is quite comprehensive and allows smooth integration with other products from Withings. Battery life is very good, with weeks between charges. However, the crown button has stopped responding today, and this seems to be a fairly common fault. Outside of warranty now, offered 25% coupon to spend on Withings store which is something but newly released products are excluded so the only real option would be another Scanwatch which I am reluctant to do given this lasted 30 months.

The perfect hybrid smartwatch
I was surpised by the feel of quality and how great it looks. Everything about it seems to have been thoroughly thought through and well executed. It isn't too heavy and the strap, which at first feel I thought was a bit flimsy, is so comfortable and has numerous adjustment holes so that you can make it fit, whatever your wrist size. Easy to set up with the app, and navigation using the crown is simple and straight forward. The app shows you detailed information and statistics on your sleep, heartrate, oxygen levels and lots of other info regarding your activities which it records as you go about your day, but you can also perform an ECG or blood oxygen level reading on demand. I've only had it a day so I can't comment in the battery life, but I know 30 days will be a stretch given that I'm using most of the features. If you've been tempted by getting a smartwatch but prefer traditional watches then you need this, it's the perfect mix!

Bello e funzionale

Beim Primeday also nun zugeschlagen.
