Facial Diagnosis of Cell Salt Deficiencies: A User's Guide

This is a large very nice book with glossy pages, and the pictures are very large so you can see everything. There are lots of explanations (indications). Dealing with cell salts seems somewhat overwhelming to start, since everything in the body is always tied to something else. But I feel good about getting it, to at least try and learn about my own body interactions. I know almost nothing about homeopathy, but this seems a very good book to do self experimentation with. To learn about homeopathy from scratch I would recommend "Homeopathy: Beyond Flat Earth" by I think Dooley to see if you want to get involved with it at all. Facial Diagnosis has a lot of quoting from Carey's books. I like the format they have of giving an overview of what the individual salt is all about and then giving the things it applies to. There is much overlapping in cell salts and that is probably the hard part for those that want to jump in.

Possibly my most favorite book on cell salts so far, absolutely excellent information and the colored pictures are so very helpful!

OK so I don't really have much to say about homeopathy, or cell salts, and the little bit of astrology and biblical stuff at the end of each chapter made my eyes roll, so you might say that I am the least likely person to be biased in favor of this book around. But my teenage daughter and I read it, literally AGOG. We had no idea that all these things it showed in faces represented a deficiency in something! And I'm apparently massively deficient in nearly everything, which explains why facially I look so lousy compared to what I used to. And most people are apparently deficient in at least something, given what it showed (well given the average health of our culture that's no surprise). I don't think I have been so fascinated by a book in a really long time. It isn't often I read something that has truly new, holy-crap-I-never-thought-of-that information in it (maybe I'm old and jaded) but this did. Apparently these are subtle and it can take a long time of regular dosing to gradually get the body replete again. Like several months. Perhaps up to two years for really severe spectrum cases. They don't cost much though, and they are easy to take (dissolve beneath tongue and they don't taste bad), and the Hyland company has 6x and 30x versions of each individual (of the 12) cell salts for high deficiencies as well. I have only been taking them a couple days so I can't speak to the cell salts but this review is of the book. I found it just amazing... we'll see how right it turns out to be. I recommend anyone who can afford a book take the trouble to read it. If even part of it is accurate it seems like it could make a huge difference in your health and life.

Large paperback style with glossy pages and some nice photographs to be able to refer to. Very well written and good reference on each of the salts - easy to refer to since author has broken down the symptoms into individual categories both in a therapeutic index and in a short material medica for each of the salts - such as coryza, eyes, fingers, glands, headaches, knees, neuralgia, etc... There is a nice write upon the chemical composition for each of the salts. . It even has an astrological commentary on each of the salts which is very interesting albeit more for just added interest than something I would ever use. The reason I gave it four stars rather than five is that I felt it did not cover the mind or emotional symptoms as well as I wish they had been. I have many material medicas where I can refer to but would have been nice to have a bigger picture of in this category. I am a classical homeopath. I plan to use the cell salts as an adjunct in some instances. Would recommend and glad that I added it to my collection of reference books for my practice.

So happy I have this book. For over 30 years I had occasional "adult acne" that nothing would cure. Then Kali Mur cured it in about 3 days. Unfortunately, a few days after stopping the cell salt, the acne reappeared. Apparently, I need to keep working on my Kali Mur deficiency but what a relief to finally find some real help. When the lower edge of my 2 front teeth started crumbling, I took Calc Fluor and Calc Phos. The crumbling stopped overnight but, if I didn't take the minerals, the crumbling would return. I then learned that Mono can cause a problem with calcium going to the wrong places, so I took the homeopathic nosode, "Mono." Each dose lasts around 6 months. I love how these cell salts actually address the biochemical causes of our health problems instead of just covering them up with Rx chemicals. It's a shame so many people avoid cell "salts" because they don't know these are actually minerals. BTW, the pages of this book are on thick, glossy paper which is wonderful to handle and the content is arranged really well. Great book and I highly recommend it. Five stars, Dr. Card!

This book on the Biochemic system of medicine is among the best available. Beautifully and colorfully designed, it is intensely readable. The exact mechanism behind the working of each of the cell salts is lucidly explained, making it possible for the reader to logically decide which cell salt to use in a particular situation. Apart from giving the detailed symptoms of the different cell salts and their therapeutic applications, the book indicates their association with the signs of the zodiac as well as with various tissues and organs of the body. Unlike most other works of similar mature, this one explains the facial features that would help diagnose the deficiency of a particular cell salt. These facial signs are illustrated with explanatory photographs of patients. What I particularly liked is the avoidance of needless medical jargon. Difficult medical terms, when used, are explained in brackets and in the Glossary at the end. However, what seems to be lacking are illustrations of the type of tongue associated with each remedy. The inclusion of a few case studies could have enhanced the usefulness of this commendable Guide.

As I gift this book to my close friend for her future and she was very much happy with this. Thanks AMAZON for this.

Decided to buy this after reading a downloadable chapter directly from the publisher. I was already well reversed in spotting cell salt deficiencies in myself and others. Nevertheless, I am very glad to have this book to hand. I have enjoyed reading it and, no doubt, I willI refer to it often.

Well, what can I say in praise of this book, very informative with lots of additional material which is a real joy to explore. An excellent description of the benefits of cell salts. I wish more people would use them, they are absolutely safe, and very, very effective. This book gives an excellent write up on each cell salt.
