The pin that holds the bench in place was secured and tightened but the pin did not support me, a replacement was sent to me. Over this weekend December 19, 2020 after owning the product for 3 months the same pin collapsed on me.. this time the "heavy duty thickened steel" collapsed on me once again and left a clean line running down the pole as if I used something to cut the steel... again this product failed. I take good care of everything I own.. if this product supports 500 pounds then why have I gone through 2 now in 3 months?? ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent bench for the price. *by O***N on April 8, 2021* I had got the big cap bench that runs about $150, it was awful.The padding on this is very plush, looks good and is close to gym grade benches.The steel seems very sturdy, not the thickest but solid enough.Nothing seems out of place and it folds up pretty easily, it actually came almost fully assembled.Honestly it wouldn't be out of place in a gym. I did a 225 bench and I'm about 267lbs and it felt solid.The rubber feet are also good for a slightly uneven floor.For about $120 I don't think you'll find much better. ### ⭐ Death trap, not a piece of exercise equipment *by J***E on April 1, 2021* Buyer beware! This is a very poorly made piece of equipment. My weight combined with what was on the bar was just under 500 pounds. Just as I raised the bar off of hooks the bench gave out. The pin that holds the bench at the desired angle tore through the sheet metal that's supposed to hold it in place. The plastic knob popped off and the back rest even bent. I should have read the description of this piece of equipment better. I might have noticed how poorly the English was in the item's description. There were also 3 different "Max weights" this bench stated it could support. ### ⭐⭐⭐ A convenient bench for small spaces *by M***S on November 9, 2020* I have been fitness lifting for 40 years. My last bench, which I loved, finally died. This new bench seems fairly well made and a good value for the money. The folding feature is very handy, though I do not use it in my home gym. The reasons for the three stars are. 1- it is 3 inches lower than advertised. That takes some getting used to. 2- the ab crunch foot pads are useless. They do not lock in place. Either my wife steps on them or I drape 2 -20 lb. ankle weights over the top in order to do ball crunches. I cannot figure out how to make a locking mechanism. 3- a minor irritation, but I had to drill two holes to get a better angle on the back adjustment. Just not enough factory hole selections.
