bro has nobody in the reviews ever had latiao before. latiao is delicious and these are just perfectly good latiao squares. they've got good kick of spice and honestly not a bad quantity and it's really nice that the squares are pre-packaged bc that makes them easier to take on the go (or to avoid making my entire dorm smell like latiao b/c i have an open latiao package) i will say these are a little saltier than latiao i've had in the past but that's ok i live in america so i'm already dying an early death to heart disease, what's a little more sodium

When you read though this product introduction, it describes the ingredients as something that they are completely not.

Giving 5 stars because I knew what I was buying and got exactly what I wanted. Very spicy but they have a great flavor. The texture is odd, like biting into a sponge but I like it ! I would buy a more mild version next time but I also don’t like want to keep eating straight gluten. But a nice experience overall.

These are so weird but addicting! They are kinda like chewing on a greasy sponge. That doesn't make them sound at all appetizing, i know, but I've ordered them a second time! The flavor is spicy and hard to describe. Not Sriracha, not gochujang... but spicy hot & flavorful like those. I'd suggest peeling the seam open and popping them directly into your mouth so your fingers stay clean. As others noted, there must have been a leaky package so the wrappers have a little oil on them. My first bag wasn't too bad but it was noticed. If i go on a hike, i put 3 in a little baggy so i can also put my wrappers back in it and wash it out when i get home. The ingredients say butter in one place and vegan in another. But there isn't any dairy in them. My belly would be a mess if there was. These aren't for everyone (esp those with funky textural dislikes), but if you'd like to try something different and spicy for a quick snack, I'd recommend giving them a try.

It was to much oil, I recommend y’all to do not buy this, the smell was bad and it took me two or one to days get that taste out of my mouth. 🤮🤢

If you're doing keto or have gluten intolerance, this product will kick you out of ketosis or give you a bad day. The product is delicious, but I bought it as a keto snack and it definitely doesn't fit the description.

Bruh what are the people in these comments ONNNN 😭 this was DELICIOUS!! I’ve been so scared to try Latiao because of all the bad reviews on Amazon, I think most of these ppl have just never ventured outside of bread and butter or something. It's NOT stinky, it DOESN’T have a weird aftertaste, and it IS spicy (I have a pretty high spice tolerance and I could feel the spice, it wasn’t overwhelmingly spicy tho). I think the reason ppl don’t like it is because they’re expecting crunchy bbq chips. This is more soft, oily, spicy, salty, a tad sweet and spongy. And I really do like it. Very satisfying if you crave a quick salty snack.

I've never had anything like this, so can't speak for authenticity, but I enjoy trying new and different ethnic foods so thought it was worth the try. It is one of the most unusual combinations of texture and flavor that I have had. The flavor is something like a spicy beef jerky, but with a much softer texture - maybe like a gummy candy? It's a complete experience for the taste buds and I know it isn't for everyone but I may buy them again when this bag runs out!
