this was a great addition to my husbands costume... it actually saved him from falling. the floor was uneven and it held his weight so happy we didnt buy a cheap one... this one is very sturdy... great looking handle

As a 250 lb. man, I've found this cane to be sturdy, solid and easily able to hold my weight and help my balance.In fact, it's quickly become my favorite walking stick.The wood is elegant and thicker than many canes I've come across.The handle (which comes detached and must be screwed into the shaft - no big deal) is sturdy also, and, being metal, should hold up much better than wood handles to the constant cleaning required in these COVID-19 times.As for the four-star review, here are the cons:The handle, while indeed sturdy, is thinner than wooden handles and, because of this, somewhat cuts into the palm of one's hand. I actually use the handle in reverse position which helps with the comfort and places my weight directly over the shaft.As other commentators have noted, the cane tip is flimsy, but the cure for that is the purchase of a second 3/4" tip that slips over the cane's bottom and takes care of that issue.Overall, I'm satisfied enough I'm considering the purchase of a second cane of this type!

Maybe I misread the description but I had to put it together. The seam was was not flush when I put it together.

Nice cane. I hate the fact that I have to use it but it looks good when I do!

Looks nice for a costume, but if you're using it for real, the rubber tip wears off after an hour of use until the metal screw tears up wood floors and slips on any surface but carpet. Not safe on concrete or tile. Handle is not as uncomfortable as some canes but gets uncomfortable after a few minutes of continued use. I took it out when in dress clothes and when spending most of the day sitting and not using it. If I was walking for more than a few minutes, I took a real but ugly cane.

Good stuff

The Cane is very light weight and after a couple of hours use the rubber tip at the bottom of the cane was damaged. I bought this as a gift to be used, not as a decoration. I and the person I bought it for were both disappointed.

Not only a smart looking Walking Stick, but practical. I am very pleased with it, it's grip is very comfortable and I find I can put my full weight on it when I need to.
