Perfect for Quilters/Designers
This design wall was exactly what I was looking for and did not know it was available until I put "quilt design wall" into Amazon search. It is quick to assemble and works like a charm. I like that is portable and does not weigh a lot. The carrying case is perfect to fold it up and put it away. The only thing I thought needing improvement was the cross bars in back because there is a bowing effect which also helps stabilize the fabric and pull it taut . The bars also help stabilize the unit with the stand used to hold it in place. I found the stand a little difficult to really stay in place and finally just took it off and just leaned up against my wall. I can still move it around into another room if I need to see a project in different light settings, etc. This particular wall is very large and I don't think I quite realized that when I ordered, but I do love it and use it all the time. I am planning on taking just the cloth to a class since it will pack easy and be light weight and I can tape to wall without crowding out other class participants. HIghly recommend if you need a design wall and don't want to go to the expense or mess or using various boards and batting to make your own or if you need something that is not permanent.

PIECE OF CRAP!!!
Value for money is certainly not there! The frame will not stay together. The slightest movement and everything falls off as the frame falls apart. I did not have a project in which to use it until after the return window had closed. To use it, I have had to tape the frame at all connections and pin every block as I put it up. One pin in the block isn't sufficient. GRR! I am considering returning the piece of junk even though the refund window is closed. Such a waste of money.

It helps to have 2 people to erect this large model and one can disassemble it easily. Some reviewers claim it's flimsy or cheap
I'm new to quilting but this tool is fabulous! I don't have too many big walls to hang a large piece of flannel. It helps to have 2 people to erect this large model and one can disassemble it easily. Some reviewers claim it's flimsy or cheaply built. I don't agree. It's supposed to be light weight enough to carry in the bag and move around in the house. Once it's put together with a quilt top on it, it's quite sturdy. My cats couldn't take it down while batting at threads!

Great idea but poor execution.
I really wanted to give this 5stars and debated between 3 and 4. Having a collapsible design wall is awesome! I can lay out my ideas without having to put my fabric on the floor. The reason for my 4-star rating has to do with some basic problems. I have the large wall. It is impossible for me to put this wall up by myself. I need to draft the nearest person to help or get super stretchy arms. The poles and brackets come apart very easily. If there were a way to tighten the brackets to the poles it would be wonderful. As far as moving it from place to place, the only easy way for that to happen is if it is in the carry case. The brackets are too loose. You cannot slide or pick up the wall without if going to pieces.Having said all of that, I would recommend getting one as long as you realize the products limitations.

Excellent product
Easy assembly. One person can assemble but it is easier with two. Product used as an extra design wall when needed.

Great for the Small Sewing Room or Non-Dedicated Sewing Room
**UPDATED 5/29/14**I felt compelled to update my review because of a poor experience with the owner of Cheryl Ann's Quilting Wall. I recently called the company directly because one of the rods to the wall separated from the inside bungee. Initially, the staff member was helpful and was going to send me the part free-of-charge. When she found out I purchased the item from Amazon.com she refused to send me the part. She proceeded to talk about me negatively and audibly, while I was holding on the line, to the owner. The owner, Cheryl Ann, got on the phone and proceeded to tell me that I would have to call Amazon or Quilt Addiction (the 3rd party seller) directly to get the part. I told them that was silly because either Amazon or the 3rd party seller would call them back to get the part and I would have to wait even longer. Cheryl Ann did not care and then continued to tell me that she does not want her product on Amazon and refuses to provide any customer support for anyone who purchases the product on Amazon. Needless to say I was frustrated and annoyed and explained the process of distribution to her and pointed out that as a manufacturer, she should stand behind her product and offer parts if they are damaged or defective. Cheryl Ann offered to SELL me the part despite initially offering to send it to me for free, if I had purchased it direct from her. I didn't even know that was an option until I called for the part. I emphasized that I, the consumer, should not be penalized for shopping on Amazon but she was adamant. I then proceeded to call the 3rd Party Seller, Quilt Addict, who was nothing but helpful and understanding. I am keeping the four stars on the review as I had a great experience with the seller. Unfortunately, I would not purchase this product again because of this nonsense with distribution and would certainly not recommend to my friends. I will not support a business or product that does not stand by its wares by not offering replacements for defective parts.-------If I had a bigger sewing room with a lot more wall real-estate, I would invest in a design wall that was attached to the wall. But, if you're like me, with limited space in your sewing room, this will be great. It was fairly easy to set up-- the rods just pop together on a bungee cord, but the ideal space to set this up is in a room where you can spread it out on the floor. It makes inserting the rods a little easier. I did not have sufficient floor space so I just maneuvered it partially upright at angles to insert the rods-- definitely a bit more of a pain to assemble, but manageable. The not-so-great aspects of this are that some of the ends of the rod have residual glue that's hardened and thus make it near impossible to insert the rods into the brackets. To remedy that, I carefully removed the glue with a blade of scissor by essentially chiseling them off. They do pop right off, but it's annoying that I have to do it in the first place. Also, the supporting rods that hold the frame upright in the back (like an easel) don't always stay in. The assembly instructions also include a work-around, which is wrapping tape to the end of the rod to make it slightly thicker so that they won't pop out of the brackets. Other than that, I'm quite happy with having a place to manipulate quilt blocks and organize my quilt top designs.PROs:- Lightweight (may also be a con if you tend to bump into things!)- Portable- Easily packed away- Large surface area- Fairly easy to assemble (see additional comments about assembly above)CONs:- Assembly of some parts not ideal

Too wobbly.....
I had the one which is smaller, loved it - but too small...So I sold it to a quilting friend ,and went for this one-bummer!It is to large for the skinny poles,so everything is falling apart!

design wall
You can put alot on this design wall, lots of room! I had the 52x52 and bought this one now as I wasn't able to put full size quilt patterns on the 52x52, this one I can. If you don't have wall space, this is the ticket!! Use it all the time. Love it.
