Looks, strength, simple.
I installed the 32 tooth oval chain ring and cranks on my older Diamondback Recoil. This was to convert it from a 3 to a 1 ring setup. Installation is extremely easy and only takes a few minutes. At first it was found to be a bit on the noisy side but after a few miles in was found to quiet down. I did change the crank bearing set, known as bottom bracket, to a more narrow set to aid in the alignment of the sprokets. It wasn't required but it did help a bit. It was noticed but myself as well as others that rode the bike before and after and all aggeed that the peddle effort seemed to be smoother. For someone who wants a simple 1by drivetrain and doesn't want to piece it together from multiple places I wouldn't hesitate.

replacement crank and oval ring
I needed a replacement crank due to destroying the oem crank pedal threads on the raleigh tekoa, had pretty standard aluminum crank with square spindle, these fit pretty well (stuck out a few mm more but have worked well. For those non bike people who would want to do this, I removed this with the screw off crank removal tool I had (see youtube) replaced the 3 chainring front crankset with this oval (34) set and crank arm, with the included chainring bolts, it installed easily. I had kept the front dealer on for a few days, but removed it yesterday due to it rubbing and pushing the chain off even though set at the extreme of the limit screw on that side. I have used the oval chainring and like it, and do not miss having the three. The ring seems durable enough, there are a few teeth on the ring that are slightly frayed after three longer rides, but this may have been due to the deralelr pushing the chain off. Overall pretty pleased with the crank arms, and the oval ring to switch my basic lower-midrange mountain bike to one chairing in the front, not a high end bike by any means like I have had in the past, but interesting and fun swap and cost effective replacement for dethreaded crank arm replacement vs taking it in to the local hipster bike shop and dropping more coin to support them if you don't have that option. Im sorry but when I replace my rear derailler in 10 minutes at 1/10th the cost the LBS charge, made it pretty easy to order this on amazon vs go back the the LBS and pay out way more to support the locals even though I appreciate them being there, I guess they are shooting for different clientele that can't do anything themselves or don't already donate money to charitable causes.

impressive deal
I was looking for something to upgrade my bike to a 1x9 that still would use a old sealed cartridge , square taper bottom bracket , after all these are about bullet proof and been around for years the other listings on amazon , the ones that came with a bottom bracket looked cheep and probably fail in a short time and you can get a shimano sealed cartridge BB for less then 25 bucks should you be so inclined to do so which I did / The crank-set looks good I opted for a 36t and am using a 12-36 t shimnano cassette perfect IMO for general roads and the occasional off road / The chain-ring that ships with mine was s snail ring oval narrow wide , very quiet and no chain drops , smooth

Doesn't fit standard bottom bracket axle
Doesn't fit standard bottom bracket axle. Removed original shimano cranks. See pictures. 1 - this junk slips only about 1/3 of it's way to be considered properly fitted on the axle. 2 - original shimano fit. 3 - this crank has way smaller square hole comparing to the standard shimano on picture 4. Attempted to replace a bottom bracket as well thinking maybe this is non-standard shimano on my bike - guess what - same result - this crank did not fit any of 2 different branded bottom bracket axles I have tried it on. Attempting to have it returned - now waiting my second week for the seller to respond. Another A-Z claim is coming up.

Went with the oval 34 tooth. Very big difference and performance. Go to Wolftick Videos on youtube to see an install and other Amazon finds!!!

Solid, good for 1x conversion without BB replacement
So far so good! Took these out for a few rides and they're holding up pretty well. They're heavy, but feel sturdy. Set mine up on the stock bottom bracket on a 2018 Trek Marlin 5 as part of a 1x11 conversion - felt like a bit of a gamble to save some money and not have to replace my BB, but I'm very happy with these cranks so far.

Great Crankset
This crankset is awesome. The oval chainring is a little weird, but I'm sure it'll be fine after a little getting used to. I also contacted the seller for an issue, and they responded right away and resolved the problem.

Not bad
Not bad set, had all hardware necessary. Good fit, and felt great. Glad went with oval, did have a minor difference in feel.
