Preciva 2-in-1 Hot Air Gun Rework and Soldering Iron Station with ℉/℃, Cold/Hot Air Conversion, Solder Station with Digital Temperature Correction and Sleep Function

Before investing in this 2-in-1 unit, I had been relying on basic analog soldering irons but had started to improve my equipment. I always had difficulties with not being able to control the temperature accurately, with more basic devices. With the digital display on this device, I can set the temperature for both the soldering iron and the hot air gun, in either fahrenheit or celsius, allowing me to heatshrink some components with the hot air gun at one temperature, whilst soldering the board on a game controller or retro console, at another. With the hot air gun, I'm finally able to repair game controller analog sticks, as the traces are too weak and lift if wick is used!! (heat all nine contacts simultaneously and pull). The the soldering iron itself works just fine and the provided tips are of decent quality, they have lasted longer than one's I have purchased elsewhere as replacements/spares. The stands for holding both the soldering iron and heat gun are good and sturdy and the whole unit is nicely put together. I would certainly recommend for anyone who wants to improve their soldering skills, especially if they are planning on working on smaller components and more sensitive equipment (where a lifted pad would be major trouble!). You just cannot beat the benefits of having more control over your soldering iron and this soldering station certainly provides that! =)

This seems to be a rebadged version of the Yihua, they look identical. This means there are a wide option of soldering tips and irons can are compatible with this station cheaply. A old pair of yihua soldering tweezers I had connected and worked perfectly. If you are replacing the iron be sure that the 6 pin connector is female on the iron side. The same applies to the hot air gun which although not detachable can accommodate a variety of 20mm nozzles adapted for SMD soldering and other uses. The station has a very low profile, even with the solder iron and reel holder attached. If you don't you've the option of using it for other things. Downsides: 1. I would have liked a detachable power cable with something like a C6 socket. Not a problem if you have it plugged in all the time, but inconvenient if you want to put it away when not in use. 2. No storage on the unit for the nozzles. I was able to 3d print mount a holder for the side of it, but it would have been nice to have. 3. The nozzles for the hot air gun require a phillips head for securing. This is a common feature with this size and you typically only get the bayonet type on larger hot air guns. But that is just me nitpicking, this is a great soldering station that has handled everything I've thrown at it so far.

I have got a nice few repairs done with this in the last few months, for the price you pay this item pays for itself very fast! better quality than you would expect to be honest and overall it has been great to use, carried out multiple repairs with it, As well and some L.e.D soldering, all are fine and no issues with these tools

The item arrived on time and was well packaged and sustained no damage in transit. The station replaces my older (yet still working strong soldering station) and has the additional item of the hot air. I am impressed with the range of accessories that came with the unit and also the controllability of it. I have only done some very basic testing so far and will update my review when I have done some more. The device is simple to setup and use. So far I'm very impressed and feel it offers good value for money.

As with most China products, their products don't last long, but I had hoped for more than 1 hour. I came to use this a few months after my purchase thinking I had a great workstation. What a disappointment! It lasted maybe 15 minutes soldering in a 1 hour window of being switched on, and then a nasty burning smell from inside and it no longer works. A piece of junk from China - be careful it might even catch on fire. Now I have to go get a proper one.

Managed to try this out for the first time, great little piece of kit with plenty of bits and heads for the devices. I was surprised on how well everything just fit together. The manual was almost unnecessary, due to how everything just fit in. I enjoyed trying out the reflow station, and it is FAST and easy to use. I am not an expert by a long shot, but as an amateur, I found it easy to use, simple to assemble, and fast to clean and maintain. Everything I needed was included, except some flux. Recommended.

So far it seems to work quite well.

Purchased out of a need to repair the girlfriends blutooth speaker (apple fan dont know why poontang stuff) Pity the bits are just that little different to other bits i have for other Irons wish there would be a little more standardisation but still . The hot Air side is the main reason i purchased this i have used it a few times now works well as for the temperature control i have no real way of testing it all i can say is it does the job i do not do a lot os surface mount but very usefull all the same
