Not a real tie, Velcro fastener. Terrible quality, the stitches are visible and crooked on the front.

Went with my Ravenclaw house for one of my outfits in Universal! Definitely pulled the outfit together. It’s a thin satin material and clasps with a piece of velcro, so be prepared to not be able to adjust it. I steamed it before I wore it as it was super wrinkly.

Cheap Material – Not Worth the Price
The Harry Potter Costume Necktie was disappointing. The material feels very cheap, and the overall build quality does not match the price point. For what this costs, I expected something more durable and better made. Honestly, this tie seems like it will only hold up for one or two wears at most. If you need something for performance or longevity, you’re better off buying a real tie instead of this costume version. Pros: Looks accurate for a costume Lightweight Cons: Very cheap material Poor build quality Overpriced for what you get Likely only good for 1–2 uses If you’re looking for a quick costume accessory, it works. But for anything beyond that, I’d recommend skipping this and investing in a real tie.

It’s probably fine to wear for a day but if you’re hoping for a true tie feel this isn’t it. The sewing on the knot isn’t symmetrical and you can see the thread. The material is super thin and light and I imagine wont sit well through the day.
