Tube Bender Kit Refrigeration Ratcheting Tubing Benders with Reverse Bending Attachment Hand Tool 1/4 to 7/8 Inch

I recently purchased the Tube Bender Kit with Refrigeration Ratcheting Tubing Benders for a DIY project, and while the product itself is well-constructed and efficient, it turned out to be more than I needed. The kit includes a set of ratcheting tubing benders that promise precision and ease of use. The build quality is solid, and the ratcheting mechanism adds a level of control that is commendable. The various sizes provided in the kit make it versatile for different tubing diameters, catering to a range of projects. However, upon closer inspection and reassessment of my project requirements, I realized that my needs were simpler, and the tubing bender kit was more robust than necessary. While it's undoubtedly a high-quality tool, I opted to return it in favor of a simpler solution for my specific task. For those tackling more complex or varied tubing projects, the Tube Bender Kit is an excellent investment. Its reliability and precision make it a valuable addition to any toolkit. In my case, it was a case of overestimating my project's demands, but I would recommend it to anyone with more intricate tubing bending needs.

This isn't a professional "working every day" bender. But it is great for the homeowner or other casual user that needs to bend tubing. I used it to install a 3/4 & 3/8 HVAC lineset and only needed to make 4 bends. It did the job perfectly and I was up and running in no time with no kinks.

First time assembly took a little time as there are only pictures, but once I understood where each piece went it was quite straightforward. I was bending some 7/8" pipe so it required considerably effort to squeeze the operating lever but the unit bent the tube perfectly. The bending formers are alloy not steel but were perfectly OK for the job I had. Overall, I would say this tool is very good value for money if you do not do this all day every day.

I do HVAC Services. My other expensive one was stolen. I bought this one over a year ago. Im still using this one till this day. Seems cheap, but gets the job done!

i didn't even look at the details. I wanted a reverse bender attatchment and the price was right. BUT when i got it- SURPRISE! came with a deburring tool. (2 actually) BUT THE TUBING CUTTER blew me away! 6 , Yes SIX BALL BEARING followers! it rolls around the tubing SOO MUCH EASIER than any other tubing cutter ive ever used. at this time it's about $110.

The overall design and function is worthless. The different sized fittings barely slide in and do not stay attached to it. If you turn it sideways it falls out which makes it very difficult to use. The swivel ends are poorly designed, the markings are almost impossible to read and they swivel too easily. There should be an adjustment on them. You remove it from the pipe and they flop around so you are constantly searching for the size and turning them the right way while holding the attachment with your finger leaving you with no hands to guide it onto the pipe. If we had 3 hands it would be a better product. I do not recommend this product.

This is the best bender I've ever used well wort the price. I BENT 7/8" copper pipe with ease and no kinks. I love it!

I do commercial hvac/r for a living. Used a co-workers hilmore bender and decided I needed one. Bought this because it was half the price. There is a reason it is half the price. It has a cheap feel to it. The ratchet mechanism is stiffer and the teeth are further spaced out resulting in less control. The numbers for the sizes on the attachments are hard to read. The attachments need to be screwed on unlike the hilmore that snaps on. Not a huge deal considering when running linesets you typically keep the same size throughout. I did use it on some sample pieces and I will say it works. I dont plan on returning it, it works well enough to keep untill it beaks then I'll upgrade to a hilmore. This would be perfect for someone who needs to bend lines on occasion.

In fairness I wasn’t expecting a lot from this. Worked well for me on a recent install with 3/4 pipe. Let’s see how long it lasts

HVAC tech here. Used this a few times so far. Works great, good budget benders. Will get you through quite a few jobs.
