Favols Black Cherry Jam for Cheese 3.9 oz

Our friend came back from a trip to southern France and was just blown away by this confit.......with Blue Cheese! Well, that sounded really odd and not very appetizing, but to quiet her down, I tried it....................it's AMAZING! This is NOT jam..it isn't as sweet as a jam ( we tried a good quality black cherry jam as a test) and is LOADED with fruit. I have to say it is pretty wonderful on a toasted English muffin, but with a spreadable blue cheese and a crispy cracker , it's really a treat. The jars are small, but with the rich cheese they are the right size. Once opened it needs to be refrigerated ( less sugar than a jam, so it doesn't keep well at room temperature when opened) so take it out a bit early to return to room temperature. We have tried now other brands and the Favols really is the standout.
