Supergoop! Invincible Setting Powder SPF 45 Translucent

If you wear it over makeup or an actual layer of sunscreen and have time to make it look alright, you’ll be happy with this product. To try and apply it on the go though, you end up with blotchy white spots on your face where the product bunches up weirdly. However, it has a very nice finish, but is not very long lasting. I’m shiny and need to re-apply within the hour which isn’t great for the cost of the product itself.

I used this spf powder for my brother's wedding in early June, taking place outside in a very hot, sunny location. It got me through the rehearsal, the ceremony, and pictures outside, with ZERO sunburn! I am extremely impressed. It does tend to look a bit powdery/cakey on my extremely dry skin, but when you're very pale like me, you've got to make a choice. I shared it with the rest of the bridal party too, and as far as I know, nobody, not even the bride, got burned. Even with sweating, it didn't budge, as far as I could tell.

I was worried about buying this after the bad reviews, but decided to try. The bad reviews were mentioning the tube that sticks out of the brush. When I got my product I tried forever to get the powder to come out of the tube until I realized that you have to take the little piece out. It’s a plug! Remove the plug and the powder works perfectly!

I have light med skin/dark brown hair - I do tan rather than burn but I don't have a tan right now. I thought the translucent would be fine and would sort of blend in using the brush provided or my own brushes. It doesn't blend - it sort of sits on top of the skin. Looks very odd - like my face has a light dusting of flour. The brush that comes with it does work once you remove the yellow plug - but a lot comes out at once which is wasteful.I wanted to like this product - but it's just not the right color and it doesn't blend that well. I think once I apply it on top of a mineral sunscreen with a white cast, it's going to look horrendous. The description makes it seem like the translucent is neutral and will work on lots of skin tones. Nope. This is a fail.

Bought this to use as sunscreen on my face. I was hesitant but it seems to be working well to block the sun. It leaves a nice matte finish, keeps my forehead from becoming shiny, and blurs imperfections. I’ll know more about the sun block factor as the weeks go on, but so far I’m really happy with this!

Take the plastic plug out the middle and slide the clear part down on the brush until you hear a click. But even then you will still have to tilt the brush while applying. If you try to tilt while not applying powder will fly out of it and not land on your face/neck. It is completely sheer and doesn't feel too heavy.

I use this product a couple of hours after applying makeup as secondary sunscreen protection and to avoid glow. It is sheer.
