It’s a really great little machine but I wish it was a bit louder. I find the noise relaxing and actually making me sleepy but it doesn’t cover the noises coming from the outside so well.

I use this product to help me go to sleep because I have moderate tinnitus. It does the job admirably and I especially like the fact that it's a natural sound which does not irritate me, unlike many artificial digital sounds.

After reading reviews I had high hopes for this machine. I always sleep with a fan but after mine broke I decided to investigate white noise machines. Compared to a basic fan, the pitch or frequency of this device hurts my ears, even though it is fairly quiet. After 4 hours of the first night it developed a faint rattling or flapping noise which I could not get out of my head. After two sleepless nights I am returning the device and buying another fan. I don't know if it is faulty or just poorly made, some people may not notice the flapping noise, but it wasn't for me.

I bought this device as we were suffering from being woken by noisy neighbours in the middle of the night. I’d read some reviews about different noise machines and was put off trying an electronic one that play sounds through a speaker. I’d slept with fans in the past to keep me cool during the summer and always liked the sound and found it quite relaxing. When I found these fan noise machines, I was curious as to how effective they might be, so looked into it and found the premium ones were very expensive and the more affordable ones were typically badly reviewed. After looking across Amazon, I found this one to be the best reviewed for the price point so decided to give it a go. As other reviews have also mentioned unfortunately this one does tend to make a very slight ticking/tapping sound whilst being run however, this can be circumvented by either slightly tilting the unit by placing an object underneath it, or placing it on a soft surface that could absorb some vibrations like your carpet. This is the only real critique and reason for 4 stars instead of 5. The device itself is relatively small, reasonably sleek in design, and functionality wise is very easy to use. It has a simple on off switch, and then you rotate the top of the unit to adjust the amount of air that can exit the unit, and thus Changing the amount of noise that is admitted from the unit. I use this device on full power, and have found it to be very effective at blocking out other sounds whilst I’m asleep. It produces very little draft, you can just feel a slight amount being produced if you put your fingers quite close to the unit, however, this is not something that bothers me. I believe for the money, this is the best unit you could probably buy to produce a genuine fan/wind sound on a budget, and creates a peaceful white noise sound.

Replacement and older version of this that had two speeds. I always used the higher speed. This one does exactly the noise I wanted.

The unit arrived with 2 screws improperly assembled, half the way out of the unit. I screwed these back in but we have found that the unit is intermittently rattling even so.

Nice calming noise, easy to adjust for a louder sound, it works!

Wonderful. It blanks out next door dog who barks in night. I can sleep well now. Would recommend.
