Pacific Foods Organic Cream of Mushroom Soup, 10.5 oz Can (Pack of 12)

Great product I am so happy to have found an organic cream of mushroom soup that does not contain Soy or gluten. The taste is more robust than that of its common red labeled competition. I would actually consider adding water and eating it as a soup on a cold day. The can top has an easy open option but also allows room for a clean edge can opener to be used as well. (I do not like sharp edges and also want to be able to remove all the contents without missing any on a sharp lip) This is my go to option when recreating family recipes that call for Cream of Mushroom Soup I do wish Pacific would use a better glue on their labels because most of them had fallen off when I received them. I had to tape the label on for storage in my pantry.

I was so happy to purchase this! It is hard to find and never available over the holidays. I have certain allergies and this is one out of only 2 mushroom soups I can eat. This one tastes good and the other one horrible. Instead of mixing this with water, I use low calorie almond milk. On my next order all but 2 of the cans arrived very dented. I was planning on spreading these out until after the holidays, but guess I'll have to eat them fast before botulism sets in.

So many recipes call for condensed cream of mushroom soup, but so many condensed cream of mushroom soups are not gluten free. This one is gluten free. It's the only one I've found that meets the gluten free requirements. Put casseroles back on the menu! The consistency of the soup is unusual. It's quite dry straight from the can. It requires thorough mixing with equal water to reconstitute a smooth, creamy soup. There are little bits of mushroom in the soup, so the soup isn't a pure puree. How does it taste? If you want a gluten free mushroom soup, there are better, non-condensed products on the market. I've only used this in other recipes, but even my mushroom-hating husband has given them praise. The flavor is not intensely mushroom-y. It does the job of a base for other dishes quite well. Since there isn't another gluten free condensed canned cream of mushroom soup on Amazon at the time of this writing, and it gets the job done, I have to give it high marks with flying colors.

I use these as sauces for casseroles. Good but if you like more taste add seasonings to ramp it up a bit.

No dented cans, and the soup is great

Either these are not organic cream of mushroom, or the cans are highly toxic. The taste of metal overrides any potential flavor that was added. It's very watered down, which further proves it's not organic "cream" of anything. Nobody in my family of 4 likes this and none of us are picky eaters. An additional note: I develop a painful feeling in my esophagus/chest almost immediately after swallowing a first bite, and many others, and it really hurts. My husband has a minor version of the same thing. Back when Aldi sold Simply Nature's organic cream or mushroom and cream of chicken we were fine; it did not taste like metal. It was much better tasting, not watery, significantly more affordable, and did not cause any esophageal/chest pain. What geniunely organic food would have this taste or cause that kind of pain? This company should be audited to check on their organic seal because I highly doubt this is...
