A little difficult
Well, it took a while to get that water pumping it was a little difficult, but everything felt right in place and the car is not working very good

This water pump is exactly the same as the original pump on my 2011 VW Tiguan. Every component was there. In the future I would have appreciated if you could add instructions explaining where each o-ring goes, it would have made it easier for me to know where to put them, instead of having to figure it out. Overall solid product and it fixed my issue. Now let's see how long it will last. Will update my comment if something happens.

Don't waste your time, quality is not consistent
Installed this water pump after another cast water pump I ordered was visibly cracked. I thought I'd have better luck since this one had fairly good reviews and they claimed they were tested before shipment. Unfortunately, this waterpump lasted less than a month before leaking. Complete waste of time and money. Would not recommend.

Great upgraded housing water pump!
This aluminum housing water pump is a great upgrade. If you are in need of replacing your oem plastic housing water pump, be sure to get the metal housing. The water pump I replaced was cracked where it connects to the block. This won't happen now! The job is fairly involved. Read some diy write-ups and watch videos first.. I did the normal route of taking the intake manifold off. I've heard you can do it without taking the intake manifold off, but quite honestly I don't see how. I would purchase this water pump if you have the need. I did it on a 2012 Tiguan in about 5 hours working at a leisurely pace.

Thermostat was bad
The install was fine but the thermostat is bad car still runs hot.

Great product, I happened to buy new OEM gaskets and a new sensor as I didn’t really trust the gasket and sensor, but the pump was a huge upgrade, definitely worth it over the plastic one. My old plastic one was done for (water pump bearing was shot and was leaking coolant) so I just decided to buy the whole thing as it made more sense. Pair this + OEM sensor and gaskets and you have yourself an amazing product that works great. Not too bad to replace either, it’s much easier to do if you take out the intake manifold, and since it’s off you might as well do port cleaning. Definitely recommend.

I didnt install the part because there's no seal and sensor lock in the package. Its useless. Its hell of a job so i dont want any leaks
