Great Light Fixtures - High Quality - Reasonable Price - Great Value!!!
Love these recessed lighting retrofit kits. My wife wanted new fixtures for our recessed lighting - I wanted LED replacements - we satisfied all our requirements with these high quality low priced lights. They fit all of our 6" recessed lighting fixtures - we have three different varieties in our house. We have eight foot high ceilings and these cast a bright wide light pattern. These are very easy to install. They take about as much time to install as they take to get out of the box - about 45 seconds - no tools required. They work very well with a dimmer too. They dim to about the same position on our dimmer switch as incandescent bulbs. These turn off just slightly before the incandescent bulbs as I rotate the dimmer switch counter clockwise. I love the fact that they consume 20W and cast the equivalent of a 100W incandescent bulb. These screw in to a standard incandescent light bulb receptacle. Some of my fixtures the bulb screwed right into the recessed light can. Others had a fixture that screwed into the can and the light bulb screwed into the fixture. Both variety were easily replaced with these new fixtures from Feit. I pulled one of these down after running for a while - it was slightly warmer than expected but no where as warm or as much heat as our old 60W incandescent. They have a very low profile against the ceiling and there is one piece with a little gasket against the ceiling. I don't think these will provide a lot of insulation R value but, they tend to seal and prevent airflow better than the old fixtures. Only question left to answer is longevity and only time will tell - but, being LED I expect they will last a very long time.

Works as advertised
I chose the Feit LEDR56/827 based on price, features and positive reviews. During a recent indoor remodel, I installed 25 of these including one over a bathtub, 4 in every bedroom and several in a vaulted ceiling. The contractor installed 6" recessed housings with traditional bulb sockets, before I realized that many recessed LED lights that include trim do not come with connectors for traditional sockets. For dimmers I used Lutron MACL-153M-WH Maestro 150-Watt Multi-Location CFL/LED Digital Dimmer and pleased overall with the results. The lights turn on instantly and dim evenly, with no hint of flickering, within the full range of the switch (around 25-30 possible levels). They are very bright at full power and dim low enough to not destroy your eyes if you wake up in the middle of the night. The advertising on the packaging worked on me because it states that 1) it is fully dimmable with instant brightness 2) includes a retrofit kit for traditional sockets 3) it has a warm light spectrum of 2700K 4) it fits 6" housings 5) it has a brightness of 1275 lumens 6) it is fully sealed for use in bathrooms and indoor/outdoor 7) it includes the trim 8) it has a 45 year lifespan.Since I can't test the lifespan yet, for all other claims I must say that the advertising feels accurate. My only complaint is that a few months after installation, I started to notice tiny dead bugs inside the space behind the translucent cover. Not all of them have them, but at least 2 or 3 have this problem. I incorrectly assumed that sealed for indoor/outdoor use means the seal would be impenetrable to bugs. I have not noticed any moisture behind the cover. In my house, the trim was seamlessly caulked and painted in the ceiling, so removing the fixtures to try and clean out the bugs would take some patching when re-installing. I had high expectations for this product, most of which were met, but the fact that tiny bugs were able to get inside and die where I can see them is disappointing. The bottom line is that I would choose this product again and highly recommend it to others, especially when pairing them with the Lutron MACL-153M-WH Maestro 150-Watt Multi-Location CFL/LED Digital Dimmer switches.Update 7.21.2019:Today, after nearly 5 years, 1 of the 25 bulbs I purchased in 2014 went bad. Even though it stinks that I have to replace one, I’m pretty impressed that it took 5 years for 1 to go bad. I hope this is a one off failure and that I don’t have to replace more soon.

Easy and economical replacement for can lights
I replaced most of the can lights in my house with FEIT retrofit lights like these. They produce more light than the 100w bulbs they replaced and do so at a fraction of the electricity usage and with far less heat.Replacing the lights is a snap -1. with the power off, remove the existing bulb2. pull the can light fixture down by its decorative ring and pinch the spring legs together to remove it,3. screw in the retrofit adapter where the bulb was, connect the wires with the plastic push connector if not already connected, and4. replace the fixture into the can light shell. To seat the fixture, hook one leg of both springs in the slot in the can light housing, then squeeze the other leg and hook it in the slot. Push it up into place and you're done. These FEIT retrofits have a slightly different output rating from the originals I bought 6 years ago, and I can see a tiny difference in brightness. But not enough to change out the others in the room. I doubt anyone else will notice it.By the way, I'm replacing this one because it started having trouble starting up. I had to sometimes turn the lights off and back on for it to light up. Obviously some unusual circuitry issue. The others I have around my house have been flawless, and I recommend them highly.

perfect match ..
This lamp is somewhat expensive, but the different colours of white settings make up for it—ver easy to install.
