My aunt is about 4'9" so she could get through the door and sit without any threat of bumping her head on the top of the van if we went over a bump. She's heavy though and the ramp never felt like it would fall through. We took the back of the van seats out and used 4 tie down straps to make sure she was fully secured into place. To set up and folks up, a very strong person could do it but it's easier with 2 people. Getting in and out of the house was a chore and these ramps made it a lot easier for her mobility. They're easy to set up. I took them out of the box and literally unfolded them and placed them where they needed to be. They're solid and I trusted them to hold a wheelchair with around 200 pounds on it plus me, which made it around 500 lb every time we had to leave the house. They are a bit bouncy but not flimsy. If I had to do anything again, I would secure the top lip to the threshold of the door with screws. We never had an issue with slippage but we were cautious to square up the top lip before going down the ramp each time. I would definitely recommend these if you're in need of a quick ramp.
