WILL WORK WITH A 2016 SHORT BED TACOMA
Great tent does take a delicate hand. It would be easy to break the poles because you really have to put some pressure on them when setting up the tent, does take two people or I would strongly recommend two people and takes about 30 minutes to set up if you have not set it up before there is a learning process. It held up very well in the wind. I did not need to use the rain fly. it does have a lot of windows which is great. I did not get to use it this summer, but I used it in 20° weather and it was pretty cozy. Very easy to take down.

A Truck Tent That Stands Its Ground (Even in 20mph Winds!)
I purchased the Quictent Pickup Truck Tent for 5.5–5.8' beds for a quick overnight camping trip, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. Shopping for a truck tent felt like navigating a maze. After reading what felt like a thousand reviews across 50 different models, I finally landed on this one. Spoiler alert: it was worth every minute of research. The instructions wisely recommend a “pre-setup” trial, and I’m glad I followed that advice. I laid the tent out in the driveway, and had it figured out in about 45 minutes. I should mention that assembling anything in 20mph winds turns setup into a full-contact sport. At one point, I was literally chasing the tent down the street. (Yes, my neighbors were entertained.) Once I wrangled it back and packed it up, I was ready to hit the road. At the campsite, setup took just 15 minutes solo—no extra hands needed. When I climbed inside and unzipped the windows, I was amazed at how spacious it felt. The breeze rolled in, and I was ready to relax. Then came the plot twist: thunder, clouds, and a sudden downpour. I hadn’t pre-tested the rainfly (rookie move), but I managed to get it on in about 10 minutes—just in time. It rained steadily for hours, and I stayed completely dry all night. The tent held up like a champ. Bottom line: the Quictent Pickup Truck Tent is sturdy, spacious, and surprisingly easy to set up—even in less-than-ideal conditions. Highly recommend for anyone looking to turn their truck bed into a cozy, weatherproof campsite. Just maybe avoid setting it up on a windy day unless you’re looking for a cardio workout.

Has issues but a decent truck tent.
Just recieved this tent today. I ordered the 5'5"-5'8" and I proceeded to set it up. It is required to fully set it up on the ground despite the instruction I would leave the poles for the fly out until you get it fully situated in the truck. Once its in the bed you have to tie it down and during that process two of the straps tore off the tent both at the front of the bed nearest the cab of the truck. Two of the other buckels will not hold any tension and require an overhand knot to hold it in place. In addition several of the buckles have shoddy stitching and will break shortly. I am not going to pack this thing up today and send it back I am going to take it out in a week and try it in the field. 4 star for setting it up on the ground, 2 star for installing it in the bed as the buckles are not holding tention or ripped off, and 2 stars for durability again because 2 buckles ripped and it looks like at least two more are going to tear as well if it were not for the buckles it would over all be 4 stars. I will update my rating after seeing what the seller says and the field test. EDIT: I have tested the tent in the field and it is adequate. It also rained and sleeted as well. There were no leaks nor was there any rain in the bed of the truck after tear down. The seller reached out to me and sent a replacement tent and were friendly. Increasing rating to 4 star

Worked well with a fold-a-cover too
Bought this for a camping trip in the north woods of Wisconsin in late October. Not a lot of wind, but it withstood some rain and pretty cold temps. Overall, I really liked this. I used this on a 2014 Chevy Silverado with a standard bed. The unique challenge I had is that I have a 4-panel hard folding cover on the bed of my truck and I didn't want to remove it to install the tent. Folded all the way up against the back window, this cover extends about 4" from the front truck bed rail. The Full Size Regular Bed size tent fit with really no issues. The door hung off the tailgate but just by an inch or so, and I had to be careful with where the poles landed at the back edges of the truck, but the tent itself still worked great. Assembly was very easy, particularly with the color-coded poles and where they insert in the tent. NOTE: tie the top BEFORE you lift it onto the truck! Two people to lift it onto the truck is, IMHO, almost mandatory- it's simply too flexible and floppy to do it yourself. If I had to do it myself I would probably practice assembling it already on the bed of the truck, but that's gonna be challenging. No issues with the materials - everything was in good shape with no tears, fraying, etc. The rainfly was a bit challenging only because I wanted it to go over the fold-a-cover. Ideally, the tent and rainfly go over all three bed rails, but in my case the tent was in front of the bed cover, meaning any rain on that side of the tent would get funneled right into the truck bed. I solved that issue by sandwiching one edge of the rainfly between the back window of the trunk and the folded up cover. This resulted in about a foot or so of the rainfly not covering the tent by the door, but it worked beautifully in keeping rain out of my truck bed. I didn't really have a problem with water coming in the tent in the non-covered portion, either, unless I touched the wet sides. Before I use this again I may alter the rainfly by adding an extra 2 feet of length. Otherwise this worked great!

'19 Ranger with short bed
Delivered fast, the quality is very good, but the instructions are terrible and I'm being nice! I put it up in the garage the first time and then on the truck. The poles and tent are color marked which is the only help you have putting it together. After installing it on the truck I'm guessing it's about 20-30 minutes to finish working alone. It is very roomy in the up position and makes a nice tent. Ventilation on all sides and it comes with a rain cover that goes over the tent which I didn't install. The tie-down straps are extra long for fitment. The tent fits the complete bed with tailgate down, 84", so it makes for a good fit for sleeping, not yet done. I'm overall very pleased with this purchase and looking forward to using it. Construction process: Inside black pole first. Top center green pole second. Front Red pole and then X poles. Before securing the X poles at the entrance install the yellow Loop pole. I hope this helps.

Worth the money!
We were skeptical about this, because of reviews (Took another tent just in case). However, this thing exceeded our expectations. The day we got to our campsite, and that night, winds were constantly around 25-40mph. We were able to put it together with ease, and it held up. Only issue we had with the wind was the awning poles. Since the wind was bad, we decided to move to another location, just down the street about 3/4 of a mile, but didn’t want to take it down. So we drove with it up. We took it easy at about 15-20mph, and it held up just fine. We didn’t have any rain, so no idea if it’s waterproof or not. It fit perfectly on our 21’ gmc sierra, even though we have a retractable bed cover. All zippers worked, and even when they were all zipped the tent was still breathable. It was simple to put up, and even easier to take down.

Low budget, cheap, gets the job done
Product is a little confusing. At first, it took me a few rounds of investigation for me to fully understand how to put it together. So I would rate the set up a three out of five. More difficult than you would think. When it is up it provides a wonderful shade, very roomy, a pretty good tent. The only bad thing is, is that it Rips — it’s not very durable. After just two or three uses, it fully was wearing out. This product is obviously on the cheaper side, I wouldn’t say it’s worth the price, I’d say, just go ahead and buy something that will be worth it for a few years, with some legitimate durability. But, a fun tent to use nonetheless.

Nice tent
Nice tent, fairly easy to set up. My only complaint is that the tent doesnt sit up against the trucks rear window. Incase I need to make a quick safety escape into my truck... there's critters here in the East Texas woods
