Provoke Sheath Durable Thermoplastic Sheath: D4040

I have seen a few negative reviews regarding the functionality of this device and wanted to give a clear assessment from my experience. First off this is an excellent functional holster. There are no issues with any wiggling or damage to the knife itself from resheathing. Based on my own experience I can only chalk it up to perhaps a single defective product or user error on part of the commenter. The knife fits securely and it easily removed and reset without any undue additional action or force. The knife handle is well exposed enough to securely access the blade in a variety of applications. And the sheath protects the internal blade and mechanism from any damage. One of the honestly silliest complaints I noticed was about a lack of instruction. To that end I would refer to the aforementioned comment regarding user error. It took all of 5 minutes to open the package and find the most suitable orientation for the supplied belt attachment methods. It includes a tek-lok style belt attachment and a molle attachment with screws and necessary hardware. Any person who has ever owned a knife in their lives has usually experienced some similar configuration when setting up the preferred attachment. If anyone has ever purchased a similar teklok device for a knife has seen this setup before. It had no instructions because it is about as singularly intuitive a process as any reasonable adult could imagine. There are no instructions provided because there are a near infinite number of applications one may select to set this up and you simply choose the best for your needs. You literally just line the belt attachment with the holes on the knife and select your preferred orientation. It is beyond my understanding how anyone has had such difficulty with such a simple process. I only mention this because several of these poor reviews had a direct impact on my initial hesitation to purchase and I can only imagine similar reactions from other prospective buyers. Bottom line this is an absolute essential for this knife and it works precisely as intended.

First, there are 2 sizes of this sheath. One for the regular size offered in multiple colors and one for the compact in gray. This listing is for the regular size. The compact will not fit. The sheath is way too large and will rattle around. Do a compact search and you’ll find the compact sheath which is currently the same price here on Amazon. Second, the regular size Provoke fits great. The retention isn’t adjustable but it doesn’t need to be. It works like it should.

Fits perfectly just a bit hard to put it in and take it out great quality.

STRAIGHT SHOOTING: 1. The sheath fits perfectly. NO IT DOES NOT JIGGLE OR WIGGLE! 2. FACT - There are no instructions - DEAL WITH IT. If your going to whine about lack of instructions, then you should not be using this Karambit. There should be a disclaimer "For Resourceful Adults Only" It did not stop me from getting the sheath. Get creative, use that fancy thing your using to read this review - look up YouTube, Google, Duck Duck - what ever. I did it - Yay ME! 3. Yes don't have any patience for whiners - call it like it is. Why did I get this sheath - SIMPLE, too many pants now have a worn hole where I used to carry the CRKT Provoke without a sheath. Tired of tip of Karambit cutting holes int the pant pocket. In fact I am getting another one - why? Good question, glad you asked. When I can carry in the spring and summer months I have to carry in my pocket. In the fall and winter I will be able to carry it on my side attached on my belt. I want the convenience of having two rigs at the ready so I don't have to remember how to set it up since there are no instructions LOL. 4. So why only 4 stars – there is always room for improvement. The other star has to be earned.

Quality is good, only downfall is it does not come with instructions for assembly. We had to YouTube it and luckily found a video of a random guy putting one together.

Works as advertised, but over priced for what it is. I would recommend just use the clip on the side to carry. I would not recommend it item.

There are alot of options for this kydex holster for the provoke if you don't plan on carrying it concealed. The two buckle options are for owb belt carry or the molle compatible buckle. The only thing that'd make this holster better is an iwb option because carrying this thing outside the belt has very little retention. Overall it is still comfortable outside the waistband. Multiple carry positions via the DOTS system. Good buy!

Love this sheath! And it's many carry options
