I am starting a hiking video diary channel, using my iPhone 8 Plus as the main video camera and needed to keep it level and steady whilst walking. DJI have a great reputation for quality and the OM4 was recommended by other vloggers. It’s a great piece of kit but I soon realised that one has to completely re-learn how to shoot video on a phone. The smooth panning of the gimbal, keeping the phone moving at a constant rate, means that you really have to think about the timing of your shots.One feature that sold me on this gimbal is the ‘Follow Me’ function. Select the subject you want to keep in frame and the gimbal will (most of the time) keep it in shot. This is great for “talking head” shots but can look too obvious sometimes. Still, it’s a nice feature to have.A lot of the functions for controlling the phone are accessed through the buttons on the gimbal (phone orientation, re-centring, etc.) and take a while to get the hang of. The free app is a great addition to the gimbal and provides many many more features, such as exposure, frame rate, resolution, phone picture mode, etc.My only slight gripe is fixing the phone to the magnetic mount. You can choose to permanently affix the corresponding mount to the back of the phone, which I really didn’t wish to do, but a bracket is also supplied, though this means that you need to remove the phone from any case that you would normally use. You need to be really careful when outdoors that you don’t hit the phone with anything. If DJI provided and integrated case with mount then this would be an ideal solution!The battery life is superb and I was able to use it for a whole day (on and off) of filming. It even provided a power boost (with the supplied power cable) to my iPhone when its own battery started to drain.I’ve only just scratched the surface of using a gimbal with my phone but so far it performs brilliantly and I would definitely recommend it to others.(Please note that the photo shows the OM4 mounted on a tripod with a cold shoe mount that were purchased separately)

I was undecided about purchasing the OM$ or the newer OM5.After looking at some YouTube reviews , I took some advice and got the OM4.I am glad that I did.The OM4 has 2-3 times more battery life and does everything that the OM5 does , but doesn't have the extendible handle , which I don't think is particularly useful for most people.The tracking and hand gestures to start and stop recording are most useful for me , and they work fine.Basically, I am happy with the OM4 , which woks great for my own purposes and has all the features that I need.If there is one weakness it's the DJI Mimo app which has very limited video recording capabilities.

Good and there are better versions by the same company

I am a professional Photographer and Cinematographer and have years of experience using steadicams and recently electronic gimbals. They are the tools for professional use but this little gimbal blows my mind at how good it is. Not perfect but pretty darn close. The magnetic connection is solid and you will have zero concerns (you will understand when you try it) It holds my iPhone 12 pro max and has no issues. Just check the gimbals payload and then google the weight of your handset. Future phones or these phablets may be too heavy.It folds into a pocket sized gimbal, the app works perfectly and is reliable. That's the key here as there are many other and cheaper gimbals on the market which sound great on paper but suffer when it comes to reliability.

Although I purchased it for use with an iPhone it does work with Android devices although the app has been reported as having some limitations with Android devices at the moment.With the rapidly improving quality of smartphone cameras this small gimbal makes the combination of an iPhone 12 Pro plus the OM4 a serious producer of both videos and photos. Its easy to setup and use however you do need to spend time in exploring all that it can offer. Some of the results having edited video using PS Premier are outstanding. Armed with your smartphone and this device which takes up very little room you can tackle some serious videoing - highly recommended

This is my first gimbal and I can't imagine anything else being better.I heard using the DJI app to film videos isn't same quality as using the phones camera app, but shooting with a Samsung S21 ultra in 4k there is no difference I can see other then phone app can shoot at 60fps.It's incredibly stable and footage is like camera is floating in air even when walking upstairs or walking quickly.Can't say how good battery is as only had gimbal a few hours.

Never really knew I needed one, until I got one! Great for for when all the family turn up and we make a massive group photo! Very light and takes up little space in my camera bag, with a Dji mini, SLR, and assorted lenses. For time lapse landscape videos it’s a must. Easy to use, easy to set up and use. Basically, I like it! Just need to stop my daughter nicking it!!

First, I had to contact customer service because the app wouldn't open. I would click on it, and it would pop up only to close immediately. The customer service representative didn't believe me at first, so I had to show her a video of it happening. Then, she directed me to download a file, but it turned out to be a zip file instead of an apk. Again, I had to show her a video to prove it. After an hour of back-and-forth, she finally admitted the product doesn't work on Google devices. When I suggested that this should be mentioned in the product description, she said they don't include it because it might work on some devices. Bottom line: there are better companies and gimbals available on Amazon. Spend a little more, and you'll get a much better product. I paid just $15 more for another one, and it works perfectly—I love it!

Poco se puede decir que estos estabilizadores.Yo tenia el OSMO3 y lo he usado bastante, aunque sin viajes últimamente, es cierto que el uso ha sido más esporádico por desgracia recientemente.En el Black Friday, vi este a 50 euros, con el descuento de 20% en los reacondicionados incluido y estado MUY bueno. Al final, estaba IMPECABLE, solo le faltaba la bolsa de tela. El resto, sin quitar los precintosTrae el soporte, la cuerda para la muñeca y los dos soportes imantados.Lo de la fijación del móvil con el imán, es lo que mejora el uso respecto al modelo previo. Yo lo he notado mucho.Se puede poner el soporte en el móvil, y usarlo con él puesto, meterlo al bolsillo y cuando necesites grabar algo, zas, lo sacas, lo pegas y a grabar!Los nuevos métodos de grabación, etc, y la gestión desde los botones, ha mejorado con la nueva actualización de la aplicación.Lo que si he notado es que a veces, se me desconecta del móvil y tengo que esperar más de la cuenta para que enlace nuevamente.En mi caso, no he usado lo de la pegatina/soporte en la trasera del teléfono ya que te limita la carga inalámbrica.Los motores y la estabilización es mejor, ya que se nota que es más "vigoroso" en los movimientos, al menos con mi NOTE 10 Plus, que esta en el limite del peso máximo que soporta esta versión.Por lo demás, es algo que se nota que ha mejorado y sinceramente, me quedo con este antes que con el nuevo con ese palo telescópico que aporta unos 20cm de distancia. Es cierto que es mas ligero aun que este, pero aun asi, doy este por bueno y más a este precio!

Il y a différents gadjets avec l'application. Vous pouvez en trouver des gratuites comme dji mimo. L'appareil possède un aimant accroché au téléphone ou bien il a aussi une pince pour plus de sûreté. L'appareil seul est un peu lourd mais son ergonomie fait tout oublié. Prise en main un petit peu compliqué mais on s'y fait très vite. Je recommande
