Not made from real wood
It’s plastic but it’s still looks pretty good and there is no alarm and very true to size there is a quiet tick giving that old grandfather clock sound

Good become better with a battery
No serious complaints as this clock was a good price for a nicely designed mantle clock. However, nice would become perfect if it had come with the single AA battery it took to make it work. Quality is nice, colored ordered was grey, but it’s more a shade of green, still looks nice. Time will tell if it does a good job keeping time - yes, pun intended

It's perfect, more than pleased,
This clock is perfect on my fireplace mantel. I was not looking to buy a clock, but while on Amazon a page came up with all kinds of things I might want to buy. When I saw this clock in teal, I thought this would be perfect on my fireplace mantel. I bought it, it came the next day and I couldn't wait to open the box. It is just perfect. My recliner faces the fireplace and I'm looking at it when I'm in my chair. I am so pleased I accidently saw this as I never would have thought to buy a clock for my mantel. More than pleased.
