AUTOKAY Front Outer Lens LCD Touch Screen Digitizer Replacement Part (NO LCD Screen) with Opening Tool Fits for Nintendo Switch

My kids had spilled some super glue on the old digitizer for our switch. Bought this screen to replace it thinking it would be a relatively difficult job. Tools were perfect and exactly what you need and the screen fit perfect and was super simple to install. I probably took at most 15 minutes working on this. I highly recommend this digitizer and tool set. The only tip I would give is when removing the digitizer to either use some kind of heat pad to loosen up the original glue or use a hair dryer. Just be careful with A hair dryer or heat gun so you don't damage any of the switches internals. Also you will need new glue so definitely get some. I used 2 mm double-sided electronics tape from here on Amazon and that seemed to work great.

The media could not be loaded.  I was able to install it just fine, although i had to use my own tri-wing screwdriver because this kit doesn’t come with one even though it is clearly necessary for the replacement. What was really frustrating is that the top half of the screen doesn’t even work! It wont register any touches, and sometimes it will even “touch itself” in the top left corner, making it very difficult to navigate the home menu, and it is obviously going to be a problem in games that use the touch screen even just a little bit. I may have just received a defective one because these seem to be working for other people, but it is still extremely frustrating.

Works great and is basically indistinguishable from the front. You can tell from the back but no one will see that! Just take your time. I reused the adhesive for the LCD of the switch. As this new doesn't come with any. And I opted to use kaisiking double sided adhesive 5mm and 3mm to adhear to the switches plastic housing. And it works great and won't be going anywhere.!!!! Be aware, if your LCD alignment is off you will physically have trouble putting it back into the switch housing. Along with see it visually as you test !!!!

Worked well enough. Had to peel adhesive off the old digitizer but worked well enough. The tools included were kinda small and was missing the y tool (y00) but I already had a toolkit so it wasn’t a hinderance. You will want to buy a better tool kit to make life a bit more comfortable.

This digitizer is great quality, but be careful. It is super fragile. Not this product specifically, but all if them, I guess. Even the stock one. Installation is very tricky if you dont know what you're doing. I ended up buying 3 of these! Finally managed to get it replaced without ripping the ribbon cable on the 3rd try. But I bought all 3 same make, same supplier. Packaged really well, protective film on both sides of the screen (remember to remove the bottom protector before installing!) And the screen on all 3 units were flawless, not a single scratch. If you're brave enough to attempt this repair yourself, rest assured this screen is great quality and value for money! My switch looks brand new again! Great value for money on a cery good product!

I was quite a bit skeptical on the quality of this digitizer. However, this screen is perfect. I read the reviews and many had scratches but that's not the case. Make sure to remove all clear plastic protectors. On the back of the screen it doesn't have a tab to remove the protector, so it may seem it doesn't have one. You can use a precise tweezers to take out. Reuse the rubber gasket for the screen, it might be stuck on the old screen. Don't reuse the adhesive tape. I recommend 3M 300LSE double sided tape. You may have to cut it for a precise fit. This digitizer is for V1 Switch not *V2 HAC-001(-01)*. For the photo I added a glass protector for more protection. Good luck on your install!

Took it apart and put back together twice to be sure. No touch zones are functioning. Frustrating. Also, as others stated, no Y tool, but I already had the tools I needed.Also, no adhesive, which is necessary.

Product came as described. It doesn't come with the Y tool just so everyone knows so be prepared to have one yourself.The install and easy and simple and tested the screen before going on with the install to make sure the touch screen was working.Everyone went well and the nintendo switch is back to un cracked status!With the money!

Since I can not remove the screw. I can not use the product. Screw drivers supplied were not designed properly for one of the types of screws

This is exactly what I needed. But why don't any lenses come with new double sided tape and a gasket? Something so cheap and easy to throw in, I'm sure anyone would be willing to pay an extra 5 or even 10 bucks to save the hassle of reusing their old ones.

This will only work on The V1 switch Hac-001. It will fit the V2 Hac-001-01 but you end up loosing most touch screen features.
