Perfect for Loud HBCU College Marching Band
These earplugs are an excellent choice for a loud HBCU college marching band, where the volume and energy are on a completely different level. They significantly reduce the overall noise without distorting the sound, which is extremely important when you still need to hear music clearly and stay in sync with the band. Even with the band playing at full volume during rehearsals and performances, I was still able to pay attention, understand instructions, and clearly hear cues from directors and section leaders. The sound remains balanced and natural, so nothing feels muffled or unclear. That made a huge difference, especially in a high-intensity environment where awareness is critical. The earplugs are comfortable enough to wear for long periods and stay in place while moving, marching, and performing. They don’t feel bulky or irritating, and the fit is secure, which is important for extended rehearsals and game-day performances. I also appreciate that they protect your hearing without isolating you from what’s happening around you. Overall, these earplugs work exactly as intended and are a great investment for college musicians, especially anyone in a loud HBCU marching band. They offer effective hearing protection while still allowing clarity, focus, and communication. I highly recommend them for band members who want to protect their hearing without sacrificing performance or awareness.

They are good.
Ok. The ‘standard size’ was a bit uncomfortable for me. So I had to put the filters in the smaller set. I was very concerned about tearing the plastic. It was a bit of a struggle. To get them out and put them in the smaller set. I sat about 6-7 feet away from a Bluetooth speaker with decibels just under 90. To my ears, it sounded like the volume was cut significantly. I wore them last night to our samba band practice. It’s a community samba band, all percussion. It cut the base significantly. I could hear the whistle from our music director clearly, as well as my own snare drum (volume reduced). I was able to hear the verbal instructions. The practice runs for 90 mins with a 10-15 min break when I removed them. They did a good job and were very comfortable. I got the set with the little stretchy cord. The container is cool, a bit small if you get the stretchy cord. I will try them at the large concerts I will attend this summer. They cost a little more than the Ear Peace I have been using. I would recommend them to others in the band. My hearing is already damaged and I wear hearing aids. I need to protect what hearing have left.

Metallica Concert? No Problem!!!!
These came in about a week ago - I picked up a pair for me and a pair for my 17 year old son. Upon ordering them I was immediately contacted by Ryan - letting me know they got my order and they would be shipping them out - and adding that if I have any problems to let him know - You see - they believe in old school customer service/satisfaction. Once they arrived, I was impressed with the case, and the fact that they came with two different buds to fit to your ears - I had to swap mine out for the second set for a better fit, my son did not. Again I was contacted by Ryan checking to make sure everything was OK with the order . . . Last night we had ultimate test of these little things - Metallica kicked off their 2017 World Wired Tour in Baltimore with Volbeat and Avenged Sevenfold as their opening acts . . . I am over 50, have tinnitus in both ears as well as hearing loss - so I was concerned about the noise levels . . . These passed the test with Flying Colors Test One: Getting a 17 year old to put these on and keep them on throughout a 6 hour show Results: Passed - He actually did take them out at the start of Nothing Else Matters - you know where it is nice and soft - He said he thought "This isn't so bad" Then they started rocking it and he was "Whoa better get these back in!" and put them back in - He said he could still hear everything and it was still an amazing show. Test two - Intermission conversations Results - Passed -I left them in during most of the intermissions between the acts - and was able to have normal conversations with my son and those around us Test three - The post show conversations Results - Passed - While a lot of the people around us were yelling to be heard over the ringing in their ears - he and I talked in normal tones - His ears weren't ringing - mine weren't ringing any more than they normally do . . . Test four - Comfort and Fit Results - Passed - They pretty much stayed on for 6 hours - I never felt them slip or feel like they going to fall out . . . and they were easy to pull out by just grabbing the tab. They also are very unobtrusive - I had to ask my son a couple of times if he still had his in because I couldn't see them . . . each time I asked he would turn his head and show me that they were still in . . . I still have one more test for them - that will come Memorial Day weekend - I will be riding over 2,000 miles on my motorcycle - which means a couple of 8 - 10 hour days in the saddle - I will see how they fit and feel, and how much wind noise they block while letting the music and conversations flow through my helmet speakers. If they pass this test, they will be permanently affixed to my bike's keychain . . . I was a little reluctant to spend $25 on a pair of ear plugs - But I am now Happy - VERY happy I did . . . *********** UPDATE June 2, 2017 ************* These are fantastic for motorcycle use!! I put just under 3,000 miles on my bike since getting these. They go in and stay in and are comfortable enough for all day use (I had to check on them from time to time to make sure they were still there). More importantly, after a long day of riding - I did multiple 350 - 535 mile days - I took these puppies out and could hear. They block out the wind noise that damages your hearing. I ride with a half helmet - My bike's communication and audio systems are routed to helmet speakers. In the parking lot, these do mute the music a bit, but on the highway - I can hear the music and communications better because they eliminate the competing wind noise that usually over powers the music. I found that my ride was far more relaxing and enjoyable with these and will use them and my helmet speakers all the time now, not just when riding two up or in groups. In the past when riding solo, I routed the music to the bike's 4 external speakers - yeah the neighborhood could hear me coming - now they will just hear me signing along off key as I ride . . . Another bonus - the case - I have had other ear plugs in plastic cases - when it goes in your pocket or sits on the bike - they get hot and bend or deform making them difficult to close and seal. This case is solid and keeps the ear plugs safe. It has found a permanent home on my motorcycle's key ring . . . Thank You Eargasm!

These Help A lot!
I really like these ear plugs and they work for my purposes. They are not perfect but I have not had a headache or my ears ringing after a live music show since I started wearing them. I normally hear aprox 15 bands per month so I have had ample time to try them out. You can hear someone next to you talking to you which is one of the qualities I like best. The shortcomings are that I sometimes have issues with the fit. They come with the medium size earpieces installed which were too big for my ears however, a good thing about these is that a pair of small earpieces are also included. I wear the small ones now but I still feel the fit (for me) is not quite right and I was worried about them falling out at the raucous punk rock shows I attend. I bought the connector cord as a safety precaution but I'm wondering if the cord installation is preventing the plugs from sitting firmly in my ears. These plugs also come with a cool little waterproof case making them easy to bring with you. Once the cord is attached to the plugs, it is hard to fit the plugs into the case. I would appreciate the case far more if it was a tiny bit bigger. Or you can buy a larger case separately. Since i spent money on the connector cord, I didn't feel like spending additional money on a larger case. All in all, these are good plugs that do the job pretty well for a decent price. After one wearing, I was used to them and find them very comfortable now, almost to the point I forget I am wearing them. Essentially, I will recommend these plugs and would buy them again but I would be happier with a slightly better fit and a slightly larger case. I strongly suggest photographers, announcers, bartenders, musicians and club goers or anyone who attends or works in clubs wear ear protection. Try Eargasm - they work!

Clear Sound, Comfortable Fit — Perfect for Protecting Your Ears Without Sacrificing Quality
These earplugs have been amazing for concerts and even everyday situations where loud noise is unavoidable. Unlike traditional foam plugs, these reduce volume evenly without muffling sound, so music stays crisp and vocals remain clear. The fit is excellent. They're comfortable for hours at a time without slipping, and they come with a premium case that makes storage and transport simple. My ears feel protected without the usual pressure or discomfort that comes from standard plugs. Whether you’re a musician, concert-goer, or just sensitive to loud environments, these earplugs strike the perfect balance between protection and clarity. Thoughtful design, premium quality, and genuinely effective. Great durability after many years and the color is as advertised!

They're so expensive!!! But worth it!!!
To The Point: I've been to many music festivals and have tried many brands of ear protection; these are the best on the market. You will hear the music very well and your ears will feel totally normal afterwards. Buy once, cry once. Substance: I've tried several brands of earplugs and have worn them for hours at a time at music festivals like EDC. Any Form ear plug work to protect your hearing, but it makes everything sound so dull and muted. But if it's all you got then it's better than nothing. I've tried nothing...my hearing was messed up for days...would not recommend. I've tried the Loop ear plugs. Those are not bad and will protect your hearing but you loose a lot of lows and some mids; the high notes come in pretty well but the sound is uneven. It's kinda like listening to a speaker in a hallway. I've tried fake eargasms, they were less than half the prices I figured I would give it a shot. They worked pretty well, protected my hearing, comfortable, sounded good, but flat. Then I figured after hearing praise from other audiophiles at an EDM festival that I would try out eargasms'. This was it! Sounds comes in very very well, it literally just sounds like a lower volume at first. When the night is over and you take them off, you hear everything full volume again with no ear pain or ringing. There was a one night break in period where they felt a little uncomfortable but now I put them in and forget that they are even there. There are several people out there who have tested countless brands of ear protection with measurable results. I recommend you look them up and don't just take my word for it. Pro Tips: I know a lot of people like to wait until they are at the front or middle of a stage to put on ear protection, but for these I recommend that you put them in right away. What I do is the moment I get past security I get them out and put them in my ears. Use the opposite hand to pull the top of my ears as I insert the eargasm. AT FIRST you will feel like your hearing is really muted, but stick with it. In no time you will adjust and everything will feel normal. Once you get to the stage the music will be loud and CLEAR but your hearing will be protected!!

Concert-Ready Ear Protection That Preserves Sound Quality (Not Just Lowers Volume)
Nick’s Take (The short story) I purchased these a day before seeing Ghost at Seattle's Climate Pledge Arena. These lower the volume without killing clarity. Music still sounds like music, conversation is still possible, and my ears feel normal the next day. They’ve become my go-to for concerts and loud venues. Prior set was Heros, which did the job, however I felt the clarity was less even with bass still bleeding through. 1. Context & Use Case Primary use: live music, concerts, and loud environments where I still want to hear detail and not just reduce noise. I’m not trying to block sound — I’m trying to protect my hearing while keeping the experience intact. I’ve spent enough time around loud stages, amps, and venues to know ear fatigue is real, and ringing ears after has finally gotten old for me - to also note that isn't a good thing. 2. Sound Quality & Noise Reduction This is where these stand out. Instead of muffling everything, they lower the volume evenly, keeping vocals, instruments, and crowd ambience balanced and natural. Music still feels dynamic. Highs aren’t harsh, lows stay defined, and overall clarity remains intact. This makes a huge difference compared to cheap foam plugs that turn concerts into muddy noise. 3. Comfort & Fit Comfortable enough to wear for an entire show without constantly adjusting them. They seal well without feeling intrusive or painful. Once in, I forget I’m wearing them — which is exactly what I want. 4. Build Quality & Practicality Well-built, durable, and easy to clean. The included carrying case makes it simple to toss them into a jacket pocket, backpack, or glove box so they’re always on hand. Reusable design feels far more practical (and sustainable) than disposable foam plugs. 5. Who These Are For / Who They Aren’t Great for: Concerts Live music venues Musicians Sporting events Loud bars or festivals Not for: Total silence Sleep Industrial-grade hearing protection These are about sound management, not sound elimination. 6. Final Rating Five stars. Excellent balance of protection, comfort, and sound quality. Once you experience a concert with these, it’s hard to go back to raw exposure or cheap foam plugs.

Good, But Not So Good for Long Rides
These work great. Block out the majority of wind noise and can actually hear my motorcycle & Sena better. The problem is the filter or atenuator or whatever it's called. It's hard plastic, and the soft silicone does not pad it fully, causing pain in the ears after about 1 - 1.5 hours of ride time. I have to switch back to my other ear plugs to get pain relief. When they are first set in, it's no problem and I can barely tell they are there. It's really nice that it comes with 2 sizes of ear plugs, the problem is that it's like a large and a small. Something in between is probably a better fit for me, but I can't find anything except replacement filters.

Easy to use and would highly recommend for attending concerts or loud venues
I have used these at multiple concerts and can highly recommend. I could hear the concerts perfectly but the crowd noise is minimised, so no post-show ringing in my ears. Have reused and stored with the case provided, with no issues.

Effective and and do what is claimed
I love music and in particular live performances. I go to a lot of live gigs and I have found that recently my mild tinnitus was being aggravated by the sound levels. My concern with using earplugs was that the quality of sound would be affected, but the Eargasm earplugs work way better than I was expecting. When you get them inserted properly, the sound level is reduced, but not so much that the experience is spoiled. I would say that there is a very slight drop off in high frequencies, but it is very minimal and I could only pick it out when it repeatedly took the earplugs out and put them back in again during a performance. The other issue I had with my tinnitus was that where the sound of the band included a lot of higher frequencies, I used to get sort of treble buzz. I was amazed to find that wearing these earplugs stopped about 95% of it and the music still sounds great, just a bit quieter. Even if you don't have tinnitus, I would still recommend these earplugs as you really do want to protect your hearing. The earplugs of course have to fit snugly in your ear canal and there is a bit of knack to it. Once you work it out it is straight forward. I made the mistake of putting them in the same way that it put in earbud earphones. With these earplugs, you have to make sure you insert them a bit further in to get the full effect. I would recommend playing some music at home and experiment with putting the earplugs in until you notice the sound level reducing the most. If you don't put them in properly, the sound is not reduced fully. past a certain point, the sound level stays the same. So once you find that point, you can remember what it feels like when use them for real. They also come with a useful container to carry them around in which is useful when going to gigs. The only other thing you need to do is remember to take them with you! I definitely recommend these earplugs
