A great toy for any parrot. It was on the small size, it still wasn't too small for a parrot though. It's constructed of a chewable type of wood for an African grey who doesn't tend to like woods too difficult to tear apart. My grey has really enjoyed playing with this and two weeks later it's still being slowly dismantled. Ive already bought two other sizes!

Excellent chew toy for chewers like Cockatoo.

I got a couple of these for my rats because they like to chew on things in the cage and I thought this would be something they like. Well I was right! They love it! It attaches easily to the side of the cage and gives them a fun and safe toy to play with and chew on and I can feel good about it. Also, even though they were chewing on it, it lasted a good long time too! I purchased two of them thinking that I’d have to change it out pretty quickly, but the first one lasted at least 6 months so it was a great value for the money.

I liked that this toy is all safe materials and it seems like a great activity perch for parrots! However, I did not enjoy that the bolt came right out of the darn thing as I was screwing it in place! I thought it would have been much more secured than it was, I was unable to screw it in tightly to the cage wall until I put a dab of water based, bird safe glue on the inside of the bolt hole and reassembled it. Pretty disappointed in that I had to repair it before it was even ever used. Update 2/26/2024 My budgie ended up loving the perch from when I fixed it before when it broke on the screw in end so much that we had to order a new one! He delights in perching on it so much that he even sleeps on it. The lollipop sticks are wonderful for keeping him busy, they're so fun to chew up and unravel according to him. I really liked that the base of the perch was also able to be picked apart by him on the corners. It was a chewing challenge for a budgie but he enjoyed flaking off toothpicks to booby trap the outside of his cage with (to my poor feet's dismay, splinter factory is working). Over all, despite the first purchase being a bit of a flop then a triumph. I'd say this is worth a try for your birds too! Bonus points for the lollipop sticks for creating a great area to use as a forage too.

Over the years, I've purchased multiple copies of this toy - both from Amazon and local pet stores. It's a favorite at our house, and both my green cheek conure and my sun conure are big fans. Depending on their mood, they'll use it either as a perch or as a target of their playful aggression. For birds of this size, it ends up lasting quite a while, though I expect an amazon or macaw would make short work of it. It took a while for my birds to decide they liked this, but I found that if I "get it started" by peeling one or two of the sticks just a bit, they take to it very quickly. My only real caution about this item is that if it gets wet (or if you put it near a water bowl they splash in), it can get very messy, very quickly. My birds have bathed and then perched, only to leave colorful footprints on their light-colored perches. It's not a huge deal, but if you're not expecting it, it can be a bit startling (especially if they're tracking the red dye of the base around, since it can look a bit bloody). One more fun idea with this toy - get a spray millet and strip a few inches of the middle section, then weave that part of the stem through the lollipop sticks, effectively holding the spray millet in place. My birds love it when things move to different spots in their cage, and this has been a favorite for them.

The product overall was fine. A little bit too big for my budgies. My birds liked to play on it and it was super colorful. However, the screw that’s in the wooden block came loose and now it won’t connect to it and so thus I can’t put it on my birds’ cage. It was nice while it lasted! Also the colorful paper gets gross overtime due to water or other things and it becomes discolored. It happened to my other one as well. I don’t really recommend this especially for my little birds but I can see how this can benefit for a bigger bird.

I would love to tell you that this toy was the best investment because of its sturdy construction and it's ability to withstand the demands of my busy Goffin and Citron, but I cannot tell a lie! I had read a review of a birdie mother and she was very clear that this toy will not hold up to a TOO's normal play and that it would me destroyed in under 20 minutes. Well, that bird Mom was extremely accurate of her bird's ability to destroy a toy. What I did notice that the other bird mom noticed as well, was that once the toy was stripped apart, a new toy was created by our bird's desire to destroy each stick either one at a time or multiple sticks using the amazing dexterity that all TOOS have in the claws. The next toy that seems to remains which seems to be the favorite of both of my birds is the remaining block of wood from the original toy complete with the bolt in the wood and with the wing nut . Again, with the full dexterity, of my birds amazing claws, they could easily work in my husband's work shop and spend their days putting wing nuts on and off. My family would then have truly happy campers as long as Vivaldi played in the background..LOL. TOOS with class and culture...what more can you ask for in life!!!!!

My cockatiels use it as a perch more than as a toy, but it’s sturdy and good quality.

I don’t know if it’s supposed to be more durable but it lasted a week before my sun conure destroyed it. But he loved it so much, it was worth buying another one!

I bought this for my cocktail. It is very good quality. Highly recommend. My bird both plays with the ends and perches on the red part.

My budgies love to sit on this toy and chew the colored sticks.
