When the glycolic acid facial cleanser that I had used for more than 20 years was discontinued, I was forced to search for an acceptable replacement. Fortunately, my skin has not been prone to breakouts since my teen years and I am now in my mid-50’s. For two years, I tried several different glycolic acid facial cleansers, but found that each product caused my face to breakout. Knowing that it takes skin time to adjust to a new skin care regimen, I used each new product for at least 3-4 weeks before trying a different brand. None of the products were working, so I gave up for a while. In February 2026, I resumed my search and saw L’Oreal Revitalft Derm Intensives 3.5% Pure Glycolic Acid Cleansing Gel on Amazon. I decided to give it a try and I’m so grateful that I did. I noticed a big difference the first day. The gel lathered up very well and left my skin feeling clean and free of any residue without any noticeable fragrance. Within five days, my face was blemish-free!! My facial cleansing process included placing a small drop of the cleansing gel on a silicone face scrubber every morning and evening, splashing my face with warm water and scrubbing the gel into a lather. I used a warm, wet wash cloth to remove the soap and followed up with a glycolic acid toner and facial moisturizer. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone using glycolic acid cleansers. For those that don’t, just know that this is a strong cleanser and it needs to be slowly introduced into your facial cleansing regimen.

This cleanser is really nice if you want a gentle exfoliating wash. It foams lightly, feels fresh on the skin, and doesn’t leave you feeling dry or tight. The mix of 3.5% glycolic and salicylic acid helps with dullness and clogged pores, and over time it gives a smoother, brighter look. It’s strong enough to make a difference but still mild enough for daily use. A great option if you want clearer, more even skin without harsh scrubbing!

I recommend the item I got it for my mom she loved it and she has sensitive skin which gets irritated very easily but this hasn’t bothered her one bit. She told me she noticed it has worked on brightening her skin and she has been feeling more confident abt herself as well. Let the product sit for a bit before you wash it off it for the full effect.

I love using this on my face and neck. I actually will use it on my arms and shoulders as well sometimes. I definitely feel that it brightens my skin and makes it look shiny and healthy. I will continue to buy it.

I already use L'Oreal moisturizer and night cream. Now that I have used my old face wash I went ahead and bought the face wash. I love how my skin feels so smooth after a wash. There have been a few times where I skipped washing my face the next day, and my face was still smooth. You do get a little bit of a tingly feeling when washing your face. The face wash doesn't get very sudsy, but maybe it's not supposed to which I'm fine with. I have a little bit of a breakout, only because I was using a totally different type of face wash. My face is now clearing up after having the product for about 3 weeks. I would definitely recommend this product because I like the way it makes my skin feel and I feel the price is on point and you get a good size bottle.

Makes my skin super soft!

I found this cleanser with glycolic acid & salicylic acid did brighten my skin. It was as if a dead layer of skin cells was removed because my skin did feel refreshed after using it. I do limit my use of it though. I used it twice & haven’t since. Using it daily like the directions state would not mix with my daily skin routine. This is where my “but” comes into play. There are limitations on what other skin serums that can be used with the 2 ingredients in this cleanser. I apply vitamin C serum daily. I also use a retinol serum at night. Glycolic acid & salicylic acid do not mix at all with: Vitamin C, Niacinimide or Retinol. The ph levels in C serum & Niacinimide throws off the purpose of using this cleanser on your skin. Using this cleanser with Retinol creates irritation. I didn’t realize this until I looked into what skin ingredients I could safely use with this cleanser. The only serum that is safe to apply with this cleanser is Hyaluronic Acid Serum. I will only use this cleanser at night followed my hyaluronic acid & CeraVe’s PM moisturizer which is safe. Also if you use this cleanser you must use caution with any sunlight because it will irritate your skin without sunscreen. I’ll pass on purchasing again. Using Niacinimide serum solely will serve the same purpose of this cleanser. I hope this helps in deciding if this cleanser is for you.
