Gardein Plant-Based Be'f and Country Vegetable Soup, 15 oz.

For a stew from a can, these are quite good. I particularly love this served on top of pasta (regular or protein pasta) and can easily get two large meals from one can that way, which is a great value. Love that it's vegan! Really trying to watch cholesterol and I enjoy a lot of the frozen mock meats from Gardein (so many delicious options) and I thought why not try to canned stuff? Glad I did. When I don't feel like cooking, it's great to know I can make a cheap, healthy balanced meal quickly with no real effort. Some days I add extra herbs or mushroom seasoning to enhance the flavor, but it's also good as is.

Like this taste of this product . Don’t realize amount of sodium per the label . If you not concern with the salt then I would recommend !!

I like the flavor but, it is a little salty and it needs more vegetables (only half the can has vegetables). I can say it is a perfect cheap broth for making a 3 quart pot of stew.

Good favor and balance of ingredients

Sorry, but I didn't care for the soup at all. There could have been more vegetables added to make up for the lack of flavor, but there weren't. I understand that it's difficult to make a really good-tasting soup without chicken or meat, but since I'm a vegetarian, that wasn't an option. I didn't expect it to taste like Dinty Moore beef stew, but it was miles away from an edible flavor.

This extremely salty, so I recommend mixing it with a low-sodium vegetable soup such as Health Valley Organic Vegetable Soup (also available from Amazon) as a meal for two people, but even then it's still pretty salty and the salt makes it hard to taste the vegetables. Having said that, it's the only veggie beef soup I've found that actually tastes decent.
