Q: How long is the strap?

The strap is adjustable. When I am shopping etc I extend it and put it across my shoulder and it is waist length. At its shortest it is like a handbag. Plus everything in between. Very versatile. I have three and love them.

Q: Are Kipling bags suitable for vegans

I don’t know for certain, but the bag and strap are made of fabric. There is no leather evident that I can see. However, I have not made an examination with being vegan in mind.

Hi I'm not sure I didn't measure it but the bag sat just on my waist line and I like them a little bit lower. I am on the big side but never had problems with cross body bags before, the bag might be suitable for you everyone is different how they like things . Hope this helps

Q: Can you fit a small water bottle in?

I would imagine so if you put it in the main section which is 18cm deep. Suggest you measure the bottle which could be placed on an angle to further accommodate it.
