Ladybird Tales 16 Picture Book Collection Set

I bought these books for a dear friend’s grandsons. They were delighted to receive them, and I’m told they’re enjoying the classic bedtime stories thoroughly!

Studies have shown the students who are read to develop into better readers. I’m a retired 1st grade teacher and I want my great grandson to love to read and I want him familiar with the classic fairy tales in this collection. His favorite so far, The Three Little Pigs!

The books were sent to my grandkids. The stories were some of my children’s favorites. They will be loved.

The set was more like a set of magazines, then a set of books. I returned them and was somehow sent the exact same set of books 2 days later so now I have to return two sets I did Find the actual set of books in the 22 set classic collection. And those are far superior, especially for the age group that will be using them.

Good for 5 year old

Great price, the books are beautiful. My granddaughters love these , so colourful and the stories are easy to follow for 3 to 4 year olds .

I am very disappointed by this set of books. I expected a lot more from The Ladybird Book brand. The illustrations are ok, i.e nothing special, and look like they were drawn by a 5 year old. What is really disappointing is the quality of the writing of the stories. These are very poorly written, and horrible to read out loud, and often skip key steps in the story. These are legendary folk stories without an official author. Ladybird could have at least found a decent writer to write the stories.
