As I have started setting it up for the big day, I am finding that I should have just returned it. The instruction are not really step by step through assembly (not tough) to burning (tough) / engraving (challenging to get their results). Out of the box, the results were marginal at best. I spent hours of potential eye damage (from laser) trying to get something to come out like the videos. Nothing! Everything burns holes, or no burning at all. I have been experimenting with the settings, but it definitely does NOT do its best right out of the box on preset settings, As some videos imply. The router is dragging the bits through the wood, causing wood damage as it goes. The carriage speed needs to be slowed down somehow. And it makes alot of noise when it moves around; Like a old metal spring bed frame. I am into wood working with various tools, and all about CAD CNC type stuff, but this is too much for my wife, and me. I.e. to laser engrave a phone case, you have to buy at least 2 cases. One to test the settings on first. The preset settings are just not that simple. Trying to figure out carriage speed, laser power, what size bit it should be set on, etc. Is what makes this such a guessing game if it will work, or not. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Great for what it is. *by K***Y on Reviewed in the United States on August 22, 2021* Good for beginers but the cnc its really for soft material.
